So this answer probably doesn’t help everyone but the best way to always be in demand is to work on your personal brand. The best time to be looking for a job is when you don’t need one. That’s when you work on your personal brand and network so that should the day come when you suddenly find yourself out of work, you’ll be able to easily find an opportunity. This is the best professional advice I’ve ever received TBH

@ato1 this cause I’ve personally seen a couple of my friends landing front end jobs during Covid by engaging in discord dev groups.

@sreenington yes, I've landed jobs on slack and discord, it depends on the communities that you are in

Trying to figure this out myself, actually. I'm in the middle of building my own AI startup that's launching next month, but need to keep the lights on in the meantime. I've been looking into picking up some freelance gigs, especially in the tech/AI space, to keep money flowing while I build. Would love to hear any tips folks have for landing quality freelance work quickly. Or if anyone here needs help with AI/tech projects, I'm all ears! Always keen to collaborate with others in the PH community as we all navigate our entrepreneurial journeys. Drop me a line if you've cracked the code on fast job hunting or have any leads. Will be super helpful

@kshetez_vinayak I started freelancing in February this year, and I haven't been able to land a single client contract. No one pays a penny if you don't have enough reviews or if you're not a top-rated freelancer. I'd suggest doing some freelance jobs for the minimum rate, just for reviews. Sorry to disappoint you, but freelancing isn't the fastest way to earn if you're just starting out.

Networking like a social media influencer, sprucing up that resume like a pro designer, and applying like you're speed dating -- the trifecta for landing a job faster than WiFi connects!

It's hard, and it's even harder if you're looking for a remote job. I've been trying to land a remote position, and I have applied to over 500 job postings in the past month but have never made it past the interview. I'm looking for other comments in this thread for some tips.
