For me, it's really for building awareness. I'm creating a long-lasting business, not a throwaway product of "100 Twitter templates" that will be out of date in 1 year (no offence to anyone!).

I think it's a great social proof if you rank high there. Plus of course you'll get exposure which is always great. For me it's just part of a new product. I don't know what would be a reason, not to try it.

@jasparcj thanks for asking Jaspar! I’m launching a new approach to reminders, especially recurring ones. The app aims to be way more subtle and less annoying then constant notifications that you’ll just snooze to infinity anyways 😅 https://t.co/mpZp1rCbmn https://apps.apple.com/app/id645...

I believe in the PH launch game "the winner takes it all". When you win the Product 1-3 of the day/month/ year, you get users, which results in a revenue increase and you build the brand awareness along the road as a side effect. Everything is interrelated. So the primary goal is to get to the winning place.

I think most people (including us) who launch on Product Hunt shoot for product of the day/week/month because it has greater implications. For my product mDash, an AI-powered project management tool built specifically for web development, our main goal from our Product Hunt launch is simply to get new users on the platform. We're launching mDash to open beta and we're looking to get as much feedback as possible, and getting product of the day will help with that. For anyone interested, please check out our coming soon page for mDash!

Product Hunt is a popular platform for discovering new products and technologies. Many creators and startups launch there to gain exposure and reach a larger audience. The primary driver in such cases is to increase brand awareness and user acquisition.
