My worst experience was I once outsourced a branding design project to a 3-year experienced graphic designer, and in the first meeting, I told him all the information, but he just listened without noting things done, so I wasn't sure he anticipated or not. In the next meeting, he presented to me his works but far from I expected even though I told him my requests and showed him the design style I liked. He tried to persuade me using one of his design directions but none of them worked. I emphasized again what direction I was looking for and wished him to give me design suggestions with a completed thinking context. However, when he showed me the work in the third meeting, the design wasn't modified much, because he was so insisted to his own preference. He told me he had to take an additional charge if I asked him to modify more than three times. This kind of attitude forced me to stop the contract, and it was such a frustrating experience working with some designers~ orz... What about yours?

Can't say I had terribly bad experiences in this area, but there have definitely been a lot of miscommunications and misunderstandings. As a business and marketing professional, I often have requests for design work, but whether it's in-house or outsourced designers, they often have trouble understanding why the company needs these things. They tend to imagine the world from their own perspective, and if you add a designer who can't manage their time well, it can be even more troublesome. So, in my opinion, the real problem is poor communication, which forces every marketer to always have a plan B.
