Which first? Startup or Personal brand?

I had an interesting thought what is better to start working on first. IMO I think personal branding takes time just as much as startup and in all honesty there is enough people sharing whatever you’re interested in the world. What makes your brand per se stand out over another persons is your story, something that makes you unique, the vision. For me I think it’s better to start something great first, keep building it and keep sharing things from it or whatever and build your life’s personal brand around that because that’s what you are currently doing. Then it will mean something. What does everyone think?

In my opinion, it's beneficial to focus on building something great first, like a startup, and then use that as a foundation to build your personal brand around, emphasizing your unique story and vision.

It depends, on your brand it's a never-ending always developing product. It's the sum of all your professional efforts, so focusing on it might not be the right direction. The people who will be impressed by your work will search for you and keep up with your journey, later down the line you could focus more on the personal brand if it makes sense for your professional direction. Imo you can't do it all if you want excellent results. And doing one it's better than doing both mediocre.

Personal brand. It’s so much more easier to build a successful product once you have a community.

It really depends on the individual. Personal brand involves being out there in public, not everyone's cup of tea. I have been in business for 2+ years, got over 10 products to top3, and still my twitter followers are at 100. Trying to slowly carve out a personal brand now.
