Which hosting provider do you currently use for your web application?

Personally, I've had success with HostGator for my web applications.

I've tried many big brand names like GoDaddy, etc. Usually, I go for the best customer support that fits my budget. Don't overthink about hosting - you can always upgrade once your traffic grows. I use a local provider since it's cheaper and it's enough for me.

I am using "netcup", a great German hosting provider.

Vercel, all the time.

I use Vercel and Netlify for my projects but prefer Vercel

Vercel,it works great with NextJS projects, so it's a no brainer.

Hostinger. Happy with them.

GoDaddy

My priority 1. AWS 2. Digital Ocean 3. GCP 4. Vultr

My choice is: Amazon AWS

It all depends on the level of performance you need and the geographic location of your users. It also depends on the type of architecture your application is built upon (containerized application ? Lambda function ?) Finally, you should choose based on the traffic requirement and budget you have (some hosting providers will become quite expensive when you start having a LOT of traffic). Overall, I always avoid cheap hosting solutions (mostly because I know this equates to the worst kind of equipments and the most resource pooling ever possible). When you spent weeks/months building a product, it's a very bad idea to lowball your hosting and get the show stopped for a few bucks saved every months ;-) If you have no clear idea of what you need and want a generic fits-all type of solution look at the regulars (GCP, AWS, Azure). Among these three, GCP tends to have the best price/quality ratio

For different use cases: 1. Static content sites / frontend-only a. Digital Ocean's App Platform has free hosting for static sites, but it is limited to ~60k HTML pages. b. Cloudflare pages is also free but limited to 20k pages. c. Vercel is good for static sites / frontend-only but isn't free for Github organizations (must be personal Github). d. I use Render.com as it doesn't have the drawbacks of the others listed above. 2. Cheap wordpress hosting for basic content sites - Hostinger $4 per month shared hosting for 100 domains. 3. Web apps with minimal scale - Digital Ocean's App Platform for simple web apps, and their Droplets for anything requiring more control over the infra setup. 4. Apps with a bit more scale - AWS seems more reliable than Digital Ocean (in my experience DO perform upgrades periodically which can take a site out, but it's never happened with AWS for me), it's worth it if there is some scale but otherwise the unpredictable pricing turns me off AWS.

Used to deploy everything on Vercel until I hit the limit with the long API call recently. Moved everything to fly.io, takes more steps to setup but things went well!
