Who is the best manager or people leader you ever worked with, and why?

One of my favourite managers and I didn't see eye to eye on everything, and we often had very robust discussions. But I loved having him as my manager because he created a trusted and safe space for me to be open with him. He would correct me when he thought I was going too far, but was always respectful and fair. Keen to hear what the PH community's thoughts are on the qualities that make for great managers and leaders!
