Will AI replace SEO?

AI will not replace SEO, but rather, it will enhance it in the future. SEO continues to be essential, and its importance will only increase as digital space keeps developing. Businesses that acknowledge and adjust to this will thrive in future years. In essence, think of AI as an addition and SEO advancement, not a replacement. https://www.kwrds.ai Follow https://www.producthunt.com/products/kwrds-ai

What about when Search changes to an AI-first approach like Perplexity? Then optimization will change too and other criteria may be important than now. I guess I will se some kind of AI-Optimization in a couple of years to make your content attractive to Gen-AI searches.

@haribelafonte07 On the other hand, perplexity will be cherrypicking from SERP and cross-reference an answer. Hence I feel SEO will be more of a dependency to the LLM, right?

Isn't it the same thing? Perplexity and ChatGPT Search still use a search engine to gather the top urls (and the LLM summarizes them). And the only way a page makes it to the "top urls" list is with SEO.

SEO will not be replaced by AI. AI will be a support fro good SEO strategies but you will still need humas to create those creative ways of ranking pages!

I feel like it just means better content will be essential now.

@chenx552 yeah. I feel like authentic content will be much more easily distinguishable and consequently rank much better

What AI tools do you use to enhance your SEO? It is like we should be using a lot of tools, it is challenging to concentrate everything in one, we might need to use different tools. Looking forward to checking yours!

@aaugoustis93 Ευχαριστώ φίλε! I build https://www.kwrds.ai with many neat features such as People Also Ask tool and Keyword Research tool. I would be a little hesitant to claim that we do it all, as every tool has different features that could be useful, so it's really up to you to determine usefulless. But please check it out and LMK what you think!

It's not possible, unless AI is live like in movies and can see zeptillions of data, analyze, make decisions.

Ai is a great support for SEO, but I don’t think it’ll fully replace it. SEO will keep evolving, and those who adapt will thrive.

Nope, AI won’t replace SEO, but it’ll enhance it! It's more about adding value to SEO than replacing it.

AI’s not replacing SEO anytime soon! I see it as a tool that'll make SEO even better, not wipe it out. Embrace it, and it’ll only help your strategy.

In my point of view I dont think that AI will replace SEO

I see AI as a way to boost SEO, not replace it. If you're on board with that, your digital strategy will be even stronger.

AI is transforming the dynamics and accessibility of SEO, making it more intuitive and powerful than ever. It’s not about replacement but evolution—AI isn’t taking over; it’s enhancing how we humans approach our work. Just like energy, which can’t be created or destroyed but only converted from one form to another, AI is reshaping our processes and amplifying human potential in new ways.

@utkarsh_upadhyay4 yeah I agree man. I see AI more of an enhancement to SEO, rather than a replacement

If SEOs do not update and continue to practice old-school SEO techniques, AI might only affect them. Otherwise, SEO will always be there. Its now a $88.91 billion industry

@adil_balti yeah, that's a pretty significant valuation for the market overall!

I don’t think AI will replace SEO—it’s only pushing it forward. With billions of Google searches daily and 15% being entirely new, AI is great for optimizing fresh and conversational queries, especially as voice search rises. Local SEO isn’t going anywhere, with nearly half of searches focused locally. AI can speed up things like keyword research and content generation, but SEO keeps a brand discoverable and real. It’s really about using AI to make SEO work smarter, not to replace it. Together, they’re a stronger force, helping brands stand out in a shifting digital world.

@damera_prithvi yeah I agree. I am still not sure how’s the equilibrium between these two it’s going to look like in a number of years from now
Prithvi Damera
@mkotsollaris Absolutely! It’s like watching two strong-willed roommates trying to share the same kitchen. AI's over here automating everything, and SEO's making sure things don’t get too wild. 😆 But seriously, I think they’ll keep pushing each other to make digital marketing smarter and more adaptable. Let’s see what the future cooks up!"

as long as AI can't live in real life , can't see what human see , it's impossible to have the same performance as human . they won't notice and analyze same way as human so it's impossible for AI replace SEO that humans do .
