TOP NEWS

Hello there! AI wearables are all the rage these days, and in todayā€™s digest, Iā€™m covering one that wants to augment your brain with AI. But firstā€¦

The headlines:Ā

šŸŽ« TikTok is giving users more ways to purchase event tickets in-app.

šŸ“¹ YouTube is cracking down on third-party apps that violate its ToS.

šŸŽ§ Nothing is announcing something new this week ā€” maybe some new ear buds?

This AI wearable wants to augment your memory and focus for better productivity

AI is like design in that the best AI is sometimes the one you donā€™t notice.Ā

Itā€™s a whopper month for AI devices. The rabbit r1 team is gearing up to ship out their first orders, MKBHD reviewed the Humane pin, and now the same team behind Rewind has announced a new venture.Ā

Limitless is a Web app, Windows app, Mac app, and a wearable to boot, that ā€œhelps overcome the brainā€™s limitations, specifically memory and focus,ā€ according to CEO Dan Siroker. At its core, Limitless operates as a personalized AI assistant that wants to augment ā€” not replace ā€” human intelligence with AI to overcome some of our limitations around memory and focus.Ā

The star of the show is The Pendant, a clip-on wearable, reminiscent of an old-school iPod Shuffle, that pares down its functionality to simply recording and processing conversations.Ā

In case you missed it, this isnā€™t the teams first foray into AI. Siroker previously founded Rewind, ā€œsearch engine for your life,ā€ which has been a super popular product on Product Hunt. Rewind is a multi-platform app for memory recall and the team already ventured into wearables with the original Pendant, but now the company is pivoting its focus and name to Limitless.Ā

The idea with Limitless is that you almost forget it's there as it quietly records and processes things like meetings, so you donā€™t have to worry about note-taking, meeting prep, follow-ups, and more. All these are things that can prevent you from being truly present.Ā

From there, the Pendant will process everything it recorded using Rewindā€™s AI platform and highlight the most important moments like a certain request, a project's completion date, a revenue stat, etc.Ā

The Limitless Pendant currently ships in 8 different colors ā€” so there is no fear of color clashing. Itā€™s usable without any subscription and, for a limited time, is available to pick up for $99.Ā
