We launched 12 products here, it feels so good to be back at it with the all-new Slite!! 🐱 + πŸ›°οΈ = πŸ’Œ Let's start with a big issue of our space: I ran maybe 1,000 interviews and never witnessed an actual "single source of truth". The promise of the knowledge base, complete and up to date at all times, really feels like a marketing stunt. But in 2023, it is within arm's reach, it is the future, and this is what this launch is all about πŸŽ‰ The reason is obvious, we now have technology able to *understand* our words, which means that it can replace us to update, archive, rewrite our team docs, and find answers for us. That is what we've been working extremely hard on for the past 8 months with Slite, today we're unveiling the first milestone! We approach things by looking at the 3 steps of the "knowledge loop": creating, maintaining, and finally finding knowledge. And every time, we rethink what we can delegate to our robot assistant. We're far from done, there are just too many breakthroughs we can make with this, but here is what you can expect from today's release: 1. πŸ’¬ Instant answers: Our AI assistant, Ask, provides accurate answers based on all your workspace, or on your verified docs for *trusted* answers. 2. πŸ› οΈ Effortless knowledge management: Doc verification, and 1 panel to slice and dice all your space, review, and manage them in bulk, and as a place to list signals detected by AI: cold documentation, and soon docs to be reviewed, and knowledge gaps to fill. 3. πŸ€– Easy documentation: Our AI assistant simplifies language, refines grammar, adjusts tone, summarizes docs in a snap, and even translates into 15 languages. 4. Countless smaller smart assistance: doc icon suggest, docs you need to read based on your groups, suggest when moving docs, doc translations, docs "related" (to detect duplicates or continue your learnings), etc. In parallel, we released hundreds of times in the last year, among which massive chunks such as our (un-announced 🀫) API, Zapier, superfast doc loading (80ms for a doc on average), Kanban and hundreds more or releases The point is, if you like where this is going, there has never been a better time to jump on the Slite wagon. Try it out, give us your feedback, and thanks a ton for your support today πŸ™ The whole team will be here all day long, so drop any question, we'd be happy to answer! Have a terrific one! Chris

Let's goooo! thanks for your support Tyler ;)
Rajiv Ayyangar
@christophepas awesome launch! The outdated docs feature - did you take some inspiration from Guru? I feel like this is such a valuable problem if solved well (stale docs).
Christophe Pasquier
@rajiv_ayyangar the concept of verification has been around for a while, we definitely hear teams coming from Guru speaking about it indeed. The main reason we 2x down on it though is for our AI assistant Ask to work perfectly. Documentation being outdated is really dangerous if you feed it to an AI, much more than it was in the past ^^

I had a blast working on Ask and a better Search. Since our early AI prototypes to now, a lot have been done by the whole team. And it's much more than just plugging in a random LLM service. Very exciting times ahead!

I was so deep working on the knowledge management panel that I overlooked some of the AI features. They are mind-blowing, it improves your written content sooooo much - a must for those writing in a non-native language.

So excited about this launch!! πŸŽ‰ After ~3.5 years at Slite, of course I've been excited about every.single.launch! But this one is special 😍. This time we're much more clearly taking a bigger burden off of knowledge managers' shoulders and better helping companies communicate and collaborate. Powered by AI, yes, but also with a lot of small and big details that make the experience on Slite even better every day. Can't wait to see everyone taking advantage of the all-new Slite!

Congrats to the team - in our explorations in AI - Ask, in particular, is a really neat way to unlock team productiviuty and reduce nagging in teams. Well done folks!
Elisa Reggiardo
Coming from a productivity guru, this means a lot - thank you for your support @francescod_ales πŸ™Œ
Christophe Pasquier
Thanks so much for these words @francescod_ales, means a lot coming from someone that spent so much time exploring this space! Agree Ask is already mind blowing, and imo it will have a 2x effect with great verification. When you think of it, if you ask a question to your google drive, it likely will answer some very weird stuff based on outdated docs -> Bringing AI magic on this part will be essential for teams to really rely on their little Jarvis!
Pierre Le Poulain
WOW!!! Super impressed by this new version of Slite. Love the new website, love the message, love the product..should I keep going? :D Well done to the team!!!!
Brieuc Sebillotte
@pierre_lepoulain ahah thanks, tell us what we should build now :D
Veta Armonaite
@pierre_lepoulain You should keep going - we'd love to hear all of it πŸ˜‚ πŸ”₯ Thanks sooo much for all these words - means a word!
Matt Roskovec
This looks great! So exciting to see a company in doc/productivity space to understand it’s PMF and stick to where it can shine. πŸ‘ The doc status is awesome and is one of the places where Notion falls short. The notification to hint what docs are out-of-date is really clever. Well done! πŸ₯³
Brieuc Sebillotte
@matt_roskovec thanks for the feedback πŸ‘Œ We're looking into how we could keep these notifications not overwhelming. It could be easy to get drown under them :D. So how we could help you to prioritize what to keep updated first - for a maximum impact vs time spent :)
Laure Albouy
So impressed with Slite's laser-focused mission to make team knowledge more accessible, more useful (and more fun and beautiful). These new AI features are the perfect representation of that goal. Congrats to the team, excited to see what's next!
Romain OUZEAU
@laure_albouy Thank you Laure for your kind words - lot of things to come in the next few weeks ;)
Flavio Frei
Hey Chris, Great to see the remarkable journey you and the Slite team are on. As someone immersed in the startup world myself, co-founding Highr, I have a deep appreciation for initiatives that aim to simplify knowledge management and create a central hub of truth. Though I haven't personally used Slite, the concept resonates strongly with me. Your determination to address the critical issues around maintaining a 'single source of truth' is laudable. It’s clear that Slite is on a path to redefining how teams manage and interact with their knowledge base. I am eager to witness the heights Slite will reach in the future. Hats off to you and the entire team for the hard work! All the best, Flavio
Romain OUZEAU
@flavio_frei Thanks for the kind words. We're doing our best to take knowledge management to the next level and turn the "single source of truth" concept into reality. Getting closer and closer every day!
SΓ©bastien Robaszkiewicz
This is so dope team! With this update, you definitely solved one of the biggest pain points in knowledge bases: that's truly some amazing work, and I can't wait to see what you ship next!!
Veta Armonaite
@robi So glad to hear - thanks so much for your kind words!! And it's just the beginning! Where would you like us to take the vision of a future knowledge base?
Scott Markovits
Have been a user of Slite for a while and am super excited with the latest update. Especially how to manage documentation overload and irrelevant/outdated docs. This is going to be game-changing!
Romain OUZEAU
@scottmarkovits Our biggest pleasure is to see our users excited about what we're building! πŸ™‚
Brieuc Sebillotte
@scottmarkovits thanks for sticking with us and helping us to improve Slite :) Let us know what you think and where you'd like us to go ;) We're interested!

Happy launch day! The "Single Source of Truth" approach is very compelling. By the way, did you guys build your Help Center using Slite?
Veta Armonaite
@duniachap Thaanks! Exactly, our own Help Center is built on Slite - you can experience it here https://slite.slite.page/p/tQruG...
Romain OUZEAU
@duniachap Thank you - yes exactly our Help Center is made of public docs from our own knowledge base on Slite. Do you like it?
Gilles Bertaux
Congrats for the big launch team :) I loved the build up phase, this new position makes a ton of sense given how noisy docs can become πŸ’ͺ
Veta Armonaite
@gilles_bertaux that's what we want to get rid of - no more noisy docs and cluttered knowledge base πŸ”₯
Heleana Grace
Congrats on the Slite relaunch, it's awesome to see your dedication to the "single source of truth" concept!
Brieuc Sebillotte
@heleana thanks! We have always been trying to stay true to this initial goal :D Despite all the distraction :) Thanks for your support!
Elisa Reggiardo
@heleana single source of truth for the win πŸ’« how cool is it for teams to finally be able to trust their knowledge base?
