Listle 2.0 is your go-to app for watching the latest, more relevant news. The dynamic & personalized feed learns what you are more (or less) interested in and brings those topics forward. Avoid falling into a rabbit hole, watch all sides of a story.
Hello Product Hunt 👋,
We are Listle (@marianicolae9, @radu_mazilu3, @alexandru_enc) and we’re very excited to share this with you today.
We’re building Listle to improve the way people get their daily news. Although YouTube has great content, its main purpose is to optimize for watch time, instead of making sure that it feeds you relevant & varied sources. This oftentimes leads to an information bubble where you end up more uninformed and polarized than to begin with.
Listle pulls daily news videos from trusted sources and learns what you are more (or less) interested in, based on how you engage with it, so the next time you open the app, it can recommend recent and relevant content.
We would love to hear your honest feedback and thoughts down below! Also feel free to email us any time at founders@listle.io.
Thank you!
The Listle Team
I’m curious what made you decide to pivot from the app's original purpose? The value proposition seemed to be strong, based on the reviews. I personally thought it was really clever and enjoyed it. But again, only based on reviews, people seemed frustrated with the execution and reliability of the app? So I’m just curious why the pivot since it didn’t seem like a value proposition issue? Nonetheless, I will try out the new app! Congrats on the relaunch! 🥳
@khadesha_bryant
You're totally right, the value proposition wasn't an issue. In fact, the value broader value proposition hasn't changed. Most people were using Listle to stay updated on the topics that were important for them. We realized much of the content they cared about was already produced by trustable sources, but it was difficult to find, organize and consume.
With Listle 2.0, we aim to make it easier for somebody to stay informed day-to-day, by creating a personalized, high quality feed that helps you be up to date with what's important for you.

@khadesha_bryant@marianicolae9 okay got it! So for me the main value proposition was listening on the go, while doing other things. Do you plan to support audio only news in the future? The videos are great but video content tends to reference things they are showing on the screen as well. It’s a bit harder to listen passively because it’s designed for you to look not just listen.
@khadesha_bryant@marianicolae9 That's true of some videos / shows (for example late night shows like Trevor Noah's). There could be an option for audio only for the feed though. Do you think that is the main prevents you from using this version of the app? What change(s) would make it useful for you to introduce it in your daily routine?

@khadesha_bryant@marianicolae9@radu_mazilu3 yes I would say that’s the main thing. I am an avid tiktok user, but the videos are short. Just giving the feed a brief try in Listle, the videos are longer and not necessarily designed to catch my attention in the first few seconds. So I think if you could either make the videos shorter like tiktok or make it so I can listen passively while doing something else, I’d definitely incorporate it into my daily life.
@khadesha_bryant sounds interesting. we'd love to go into more depth on this and understand a bit more about your specific pain-points when consuming news in (short-form) video. Feel free to book a user interview with us here: https://calendly.com/maria-253/l...

Awesome, there is such a potential to get people out of their perspective bubbles.
@stuart_morgan Hey Stuart. That's right. We think it's important to not only show you stuff we know you already like and would produce high engagement. Would love to get your thoughts on the app.
How would you fit it in your routine?
@alex_papageorge@marianicolae9 I do. I like it a lot better actually. I really like the UI tweak - much more of a social feel, and I appreciate that. The one consideration I may share is creating a new screen to navigate my already established favorited categories. I feel like my favorites are my favorites, and only my favorites should exist (in this area). Right now, I'm going back to the same screen I've already been (when I selected the topics I'm interested in), but still see topics I've already expressed I'm not interested in (by not favoriting them), ya know? I get the intent to maybe expand my interest to expand into other categories, but things like celebrities or food, I really don't care about and never will... Super nit picky, but some user feedback to consider :) Outside of that, love it. Excited to see even more progress
