The classes I learned from the most in college were the ones that I worked with others, whether it be checking answers on homework, studying for exams, or working on a group project. Seeing how other people approach a problem and working through it together was the best way to make the content stick. There were also the extra learnings that come with communicating and coordinating with a group that are often overlooked but important.
Most MOOCs lack this inherently social aspect to learning - even if they have online forums and breakout groups, it's not the same. Co.Lab's courses are the perfect sweet spot of hybrid flexibility and scale without compromising engagement, learning, and the social environments.
