It's good to see somebody trying to make GA data look better but did all the upvoters actually check out the product? I work with Google Analytics everyday and I really can't see any reason to use this beta version so far.
*UI*: The UI is not even usable. It's badly designed and there is really nothing ... beautiful out there. I'd say the current GA interface is way better than this.
*Data*: It literally provides zero benefits in terms of data visualization.

Hi there,
Congratulations with your second product of 2017! :)
I enjoy it very much. Think, it's the great solution for the better understanding of Google Analytics data.
Looks nice and simple, but way too limited for a growth hacker. I would rather target novice users who don't want to go through Google Analytics in detail. And $12 for simplifying data that is already in Analytics sounds like a lot.

@rickhaasteren It's a totally reasonable price. For a company who can make hundreds and thousands a month from understanding and more quickly take action on their metrics, $12 is absolutely nothing. It's actually too cheap. If you price cheap, you get people who complain about small things and are more of a pain as they don't really contribute to the product since they're not invested. Also, with a higher price, you only need to reach a smaller # of people, which is better business and makes a better product for those people.
@chrisjohnsoct That's a big if. "For a company who can make hundreds and thousands a month from understanding and more quickly take action on their metrics, $12 is absolutely nothing". Very true, I just don't think this tool gives you those insights.

@rickhaasteren That's possible. I haven't used the product, so I'm not sure, but I know I'd never start a metrics company for only $12/user.

@jgmiller Encroach? In a few clicks, you can generate basically the same report as this is offering, for free. (https://www.producthunt.com/post...)
But there are a ton of products operating in this space that do fine. For example, Google Optimize can do much of what Optimizely can do, also for free, but that doesn't stop Optimizely from having a significant market share. 🙃
@frantzlight Sure like any product there is never no "competition". The reality is that the bulk of our customers are small independent users <5000 visits a month, maybe the run a blog or company website and they either simply don't understand web metrics, don't have time, and want a literal one click solution. Our daily update emails have a 70%+ open rate from our 508 beta users and only 12 people have stopped them. We definitely think we have found a segment of the market that love our product and they are who we are building HackerMetrics for. One side definitely doesn't fit all. Thanks for your comments! 😎
@dylankbuckley I'm all for pretty graphs, we sub to Baremetrics for a similar reason. I'm sure the product will grow, but as of right now, if you log into GA, even with zero knowledge, the overview tab that you land on has a very similar dashboard. It's not for us, as you mentioned, but glad to see it has an audience. We definitely need more innovation in this space. 🙌
