Nocto turns your MacBook's notch into a small control center. Hover to see what's playing and skip songs. Ten minutes before a call it starts a countdown, and when the meeting begins the notch opens with a Join button (Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex, FaceTime). Park files on the shelf, find anything you copied in clipboard history, and check your Mac and AirPods battery at a glance. Native, light, macOS 14+. One-time purchase, 7-day free trial. Music stays free forever.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
The notch is the one part of my MacBook I look at all day, and it did absolutely nothing. Meanwhile I kept joining calls late because the reminder was buried under a dozen windows.
So I built Nocto. It turns the notch into a small control center:
📅 Meetings: a countdown 10 min before each call, then the notch opens with a Join button (Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex, FaceTime)
🎵 Music: see what's playing, swipe to skip, scroll to seek
📁 Shelf + clipboard: park files on the notch, and get back anything you copied (text, links, colors, screenshots)
🔋 Battery and AirPods at a glance
Fully native, light, macOS 14+. No subscription: one purchase covers 3 Macs, with a 7-day free trial. Music stays free forever.

What would you want your notch to show next? I'm building the next update from your answers.
@yersultanss The meeting countdown with a Join button right in the notch is so smart, I'm always the one joining 2 minutes late 😅 Love that it's native and a one-time purchase. Congrats from a fellow maker launching today! 🙌
@yersultanss @erenasiroglu me tooo haha, even tho i have calendar notifications 🤦♂️😄
Congrats on the launch. Sleek design. Any plans to make it extendible and/or open source?
@pronskiy Thanks a lot, glad the design landed! Open source isn't planned for now. Nocto is a one-time purchase, and that's what lets me keep working on it full-time without adding a subscription. Extensibility is something I'm thinking about, though. What would you want to plug into the notch? A specific app, a custom widget, Shortcuts? Real use cases will decide what I build first.
can i change the 10 min countdown?
@mostafahosseini Not yet, it's fixed at 10 minutes for now. A custom countdown is a fair ask though, and it's going on the list. How much heads-up would you want: 5, 15, something else?
The shelf plus clipboard combo is the part that grabbed me — I like that you can park a file on the notch and also pull back text, links, colors, and screenshots you copied. How do those two stay separate in practice? If I park something and then keep copying, does the parked item stay put, or does it get pushed out by newer clipboard items? And for back-to-back calls, does the Join button switch cleanly to the next meeting?
@jcbuilds Great questions! They're fully separate. The shelf holds files until you remove them, so no amount of copying will push anything off it. Clipboard history keeps your last 60 copies (newest on top, up to 8 images), and copied files don't go into it, because files belong on the shelf. It also skips anything password managers mark as private. Back-to-back calls switch on their own. Once you join or dismiss one, the countdown for the next starts 10 minutes before it, and its Join card opens about a minute before start.
