Hey Product Hunt 👋 My name’s Peter, and I’m the CEO and co-founder of Aeqium. Compensation has been a pain at every job in my career. It’s a struggle for candidates and employees to understand what they’re actually taking home across salary, bonuses, and equity grants. Managers, recruiters, and HR teams trying to make fair compensation decisions are left to wrestle with a mess of spreadsheets (and worst of all, despite being well-intentioned, these time-consuming and error-prone efforts often result in poor outcomes). As my career progressed and I continued to witness the same sorts of pain points cropping up time and time again, one thought stuck in my head: “Compensation is such an important topic, yet we’re missing some of the most basic tools to make sense of it!” So in 2020, I decided to start Aeqium. Since then, our team has been hard at work building solutions to address some of the biggest challenges face by businesses when it comes to compensation. Fast forward to today... I’m super excited to be sharing a free version of our product with the PH community. With our free product, you can: ✅ Explain compensation to job candidates in a fun, branded way using interactive offer letters that visualize total rewards and reflect your company’s personality with customizable images, colors, and video. You can see an example offer letter here ✨ ✅ Make better compensation decisions quickly with your comp ranges and data from other offers at your fingertips when putting together a new offer. ✅ Learn and adapt to a competitive job market by automatically capturing your offer success metrics and data points from candidate competing offers to make your comp decisions increasingly data driven. We’re especially happy to be releasing our free edition to help with offers and offer data at a time when hiring is such a challenge for so many companies. Click here to see the details and sign up, and please let us know what you think!

@peter_mckee Congratulations on the Launch 🚀

@peter_mckee This is an interesting take! Rather than wrestling with a hoard of spreadsheets, this appears to be a good solution to reduce time and error. Congratulations on the launch!

Thank you! We truly believe this can make it easier for businesses to do the right thing

Love the design! Where did you get the inspiration from?!
Peter McKee
@geoffrey___ Thanks! In addition to being inspired by a number of powerpoints and spreadsheets that recruiters and hiring managers were manually creating, we've continued to iterate on our design based on feedback from our earliest users as they've used it with more candidates

Looks like a good concept, UI looks very similar to Agora, who seems to be in the field 🤔https://app.getagora.com/o/Q89Visg

@picsoung ahhhhh that's it! I was wondering why the UI was so familiar to me too!!
Peter McKee
@picsoung there are definitely a number of solutions out there for offer letters. We think ours has a number of unique advantages, not only in the customization of how it let's you express your brand, but also in the ways we help you leverage offer data to make your compensation program fairer and more effective as a whole. Also, our offers product is totally free to use, which is a nice advantage as well! No surprise to see several different teams working on such an important problem!

@picsoung @peter_mckee nice deflection 😈

Hey everyone 👋 My name is Jared, and I'm one of Peter's co-founders (we actually met back in college, and the rest is history, as they say!) It looks like things are ramping up pretty quickly here, but I just thought I'd take a moment to properly acknowledge our amazing team. @micaela_adams - You’ve only been with us for a few weeks and yet you’ve already raised the bar tremendously for our standards around product design (and did I mention those stunning gallery images you created for this Product Hunt launch? 🤩) @dwijen_patel - I’m not sure what possessed you to choose to work with me again after our time together at Jet.com, but I’m glad you did! It really is a rare engineer whose hard skills are rivaled only by his soft ones. @josh_mcgrath1 - I have no doubt that you’re looking at this page and thinking “I should just build my own open-sourced version of Product Hunt.” In all seriousness though, your insatiable appetite for building stuff as well as the prolific output that it yields are both admirable and humbling. And finally, @peter_mckee - I feel like I’m always careful to avoid wholesale appraisals of your strength and competency as a leader - after all, no one is infallible, and it’s evident that you invite other opinions because you really do value the growth that comes with having your own challenged. That being said, someone recently gave me a facetious “if your friend jumped off a cliff would you do it too?” ...and I had to think for a few seconds! 🙃 Anyway, probably went a bit overboard here, but it felt like as good an opportunity as any to express how much I appreciate you all, and to let you know that without you, Aeqium simply wouldn’t be possible. So, in so many words, thanks.

Hi! That looks awesome! Which next features are you planning to release?
Jared Katz
@anastasiia_holiachenko We have a lot of cool stuff in the pipeline! One thing I'm personally working on is a direct integration with DocuSign so candidates can access their formal offer documents from the letter and properly "accept" the offer if they so choose. (Worth mentioning that not only is this something a number of current users have asked for, but folks in the r/recruiting community on Reddit seem keen on the idea as well). Pretty neat!
Micaela Adams
@anastasiia_holiachenko Thank you! Nice answer @jared_katz1

Looks amazing!! Love how intuitive the layout is
