📖 Why we built siift
Two years ago I ran my last startup on a general-purpose AI. It felt like a superpower: research, plans, content, decisions, all accelerated. As the business grew, our thinking got buried across chats, and no one really understood the details anymore.
AI did everything we asked, without any second thought or filtering. It helped us make rushed decisions, not informed ones. The work it produced wasn't documented, reliable or built to scale, so we followed its advice until we were lost in the noise. Lacking a clear direction, we had to shut down the company.
AI didn't kill the business. It let us go further than we should have, which cost us a year and tens of thousands of dollars.
So we built the tool we wished we'd had, to prevent others from falling into the same rabbit hole.

What models are you using in the back? And how do you deal with LLM hallucinations?

We found that you don't need to use the latest or biggest models to get top-tier performance.
It's all about the harness you build around it! We have reduced hallucinations a lot just by being very strict on our system grounding and memory layer.

If I had to pick just one, it’s that siift helps you make better decisions through what we call collaborative decision intelligence.

@prem_kuchi The ideal user is anyone trying to build something new. We started with founders and entrepreneurs, and that's still where it's sharpest. Internal teams have shared how they use it in an innovation setting, as have academic environments. To strengthen the team and multi-user experience, we recently added features that are opening our vision to how we can support SMEs and larger teams. We'd love to hear from you about what would help most!

@petrkovacik Thanks! Mostly founders today; that's where we started and where it's sharpest. Teams are showing up more: internal innovation groups and a few academic programs.
How does siift decide when an assumption is risky or needs to challenged?
Where 'proven processes' are concerned, what frameworks do they follow - the well-tested methodologies, or something self-developed?
