Sounds like you have some great goals queued up for 2025! π
Next year, I'm hoping to learn more about market research. Now that AI tools make coding/building so fast and easy, figuring out what to build for each audience is even more critical.

Post-mortem for an average PH launch π (part 1)
Hey, everyone! I launched IttyTime, a free, stripped-down timeline generator, on December 29. It's a small sliver of a larger project management tool I'm building, and my goals were to:
1. Get a high-quality backlink
2. Test if the extended PH audience might be receptive to the free tool--and, by extension, the PM software
3. Get a feel for the launch experience and what works/doesn't...

Launching today π come say hello! π
My product wasnβt featured on the home page, so itβs pretty quiet today! If you get a chance, please check out IttyTime. Would appreciate any support and/or feedback.
Thank you! π

Hello, Product Hunters!
As a marketer and project manager (at least, during the day), Iβve often struggled to create timelines for reports and presentations. I sometimes spent hours fiddling with Keynote, PowerPoint, or conditional formatting to turn project schedules pulled from spreadsheets or lists into visual timelines. β³
Most of the timeline generation tools I found online were either...
IttyTime Free Timeline Maker
Generate pretty project timelines. No sign up required.
IttyTime is a free timeline maker that helps you visualize project tasks and deadlines. Name your project, enter your tasks, and click a button. IttyTime does the rest. Use it to generate professional timelines for presentations and documents. Simple design.

Spending too much on video content. I've seen B2B businesses spend 100K+ on beautiful, agency-crafted videos that will never achieve ROI. Better to build many videos with DIY tools, freelancers, AI, etc. and test them with your target audience.
Whatβs a common mistake brands make with video content that you think could be avoided?

Scheduled a PH launch for tomorrow. π Goals are modest--test the system, get a backlink. π

The same way marketers can become more technical...get help from AI. π Also, marketing today is very data-driven...an engineering background can be very helpful for SEO and testing/analyzing different forms of outreach.

Seeing a lot of new RTO requirements in my industry that are unevenly enforced (e.g., higher level execs have much more flexibility) and may even be a soft precursor to layoffs. Agree, however, that new employees can benefit from more time onsite, some in-person training, etc.
Overall, I'd like to see a more data-driven approach to WFH with a focus on outcomes.

Anthropic's Claude models via API. Also looking into AI-powered video production...I've recently tested Runway and I'm curious PopShort, one of the tools launching today.
Which AI tools are you experimenting with lately?

Slow, steady and consistent effort. Planning to do a little work on my products each day. And alternating "development days" with "marketing days."
π How do you plan to make a bigger impact next year?

I've managed complex video projects and know just how slow and expensive they can be. PopShort looks like a much faster (and cheaper) alternative for many use cases.
Btw, congratulations! PS was at #1 last time I checked.
