I think we all should learn how to adapt our sites to the AI Overviews by Google. Otherwise, agree with the other point - investing in helpful, data-driven content is a wise move.

Yes, we tried X ads for around 1.5 months and Facebook ads for around 3 months. Decided to quit both last week, because we can't seem to reach our audience there + the targeting option on X are not working as intended.

I think it depends on your research goals but the fastest, even if not always free of cheap, way would be to take a look at industry reports. Second fastest would be to approach industry experts and talk to your customers.

User-generated content works the best I believe, the challenge is to get users (even fans) to create content about your product.
