How do you allow users to try out your product before committing? Free trial?

We are kind of unlucky int he sense that we are launching the same day as Figma AI and Figma Slides. And thats fine so far.
However, I was surprised to see that PH included Figma in their newsletter including a link to support the product!

Why is the budget a relevant thing to ask/discuss?
Wouldn't it be more valuable to discuss the different channels and possible differences between them depending on target audiences etc?
