Who is the best manager or people leader you ever worked with, and why?
One of my favourite managers and I didn't see eye to eye on everything, and we often had very robust discussions. But I loved having him as my manager because he created a trusted and safe space for me to be open with him. He would correct me when he thought I was going too far, but was always respectful and fair.
Keen to hear what the PH community's thoughts are on the qualities that make...

As a founder or startup operator, have you worked with a business or leadership coach?
What was your experience like?
Context: we are a coaching technology company, and I'm keen to hear people's experience with, and thoughts on, coaching.

Founders, how do you prioritise your daily tasks?
π As founders, we often wear multiple hats: product manager, engineer, marketer, all in a single day.
π§ I'm curious to hear how other founders manage the context switching and the different types of thinking and focus required for these different roles.

If you could go back in time & change one thing about the way you launched on PH, what would it be?
I am a founder exploring the PH community. I'd love to hear how other founders / makers launched their products here, and what they would do differently about their launch if they did it again.

I love Lenny Rachitsky's resources: https://www.lennyrachitsky.com/. They are practical, relevant and sourced from people who are in the weeds. So you get the deep detailed picture, not just the 20,000 ft view. :)
What resources (books, blogs, podcasts, etc.) have you found most helpful in growing your startup?

Starting with a pain point that I had faced, and realising I was quite passionate about the problem space, led me to research the area more. Once I'd validated that the problems I noticed were indeed real pain points for many people, and I'd understood that the problem space was large enough for a big business, I went all in! :)
What inspired you to start your own business, and how did you come up with your idea?

How did you acquire your first paying customer?
As an early stage startup founder, my big million dollar question at the moment is to find the first set of customers who will pay for an early stage product. Keen to understand how other founders / makers reached this milestone. π

Two things I think are the best tests of product-market-fit:
1. Customers who will stand on a soap box and tell the world about how the product changed their life, and
2. Paying customers. Parting with hard earned cash to use a product is the ultimate test of PMF
How do you measure product-market fit?

My favourite morning ritual is some quiet time with a cup of coffee, and let my mind wander for a while. Think through my priorities for the day and visualise what I want my day to look like.
Helps me start the day with a great sense of inner calm. :)
What are your Monday morning ritual to keep you focused and motivated?
