I use Google Alerts to track competitor mentions and news. Set up alerts for their brand, product names, and key people. Also monitor their social media accounts and newsletters if possible. Gives a good pulse without much effort once the initial setup is done.

I use a combination of Google Alerts and social media monitoring tools to keep an eye on competitors without it taking up too much time. Setting up Google Alerts for key terms related to competitors sends me email digests so I can quickly scan for important news. And social listening tools help surface competitor mentions and conversations across social channels. I do a deeper dive competitive analysis maybe once a quarter, but these passive monitoring methods help me stay on top of things day-to-day without getting in the weeds.
