Hi Product Hunt, Here, at Froala, our goal is to create an open environment for web design that can help both devs and us - the everyday Internet users - browse better websites. We launched a collection of over 170 Design Blocks to empower developers to focus more on functionality rather than design. The Froala Design Blocks project is built on Bootstrap 4; itโ€™s responsive, open source and free to use. We need your help to grow a community around this Open Source project and make a change on how the websites are designed. Weโ€™d love to get some feedback, and Iโ€™m happy to answer questions.

@diana_neculai I'm just getting started with Bootstrap 4, so will definitely try to reverse engineer as many elements as I can to learn. ๐Ÿค

But how do we use it? Downloaded, and then what? What scripts / styles to include and how to import blocks etc, any documentation anywhere?
Kyle Charlitos
@vilmes21 on the github page https://www.producthunt.com/r/77... Also, are the examples broken? Or are they not interactive?
Alexandru Gliga
I'm waiting the "industrial graph" too :) to make sure we won't pay too much the web designer.

Great job @st3fan & @diana_neculai! We've been looking to create something like this for progressive web applications - specifically for mobile. Do you think we could use Froala Design Blocks as inspiration (we'll make sure to mention you guys) in our own soon-to-come Progressive Web App UI Library? ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ’ช ๐Ÿ˜Š
Diana Neculai
Thanks @cborodescu. Our goal is to encourage worldwide development of collaborative web and mobile design projects and to provide an open platform in which design may be shared and improved in partnership with others. The best thing to do, for web and mobile apps, is to have one powerful framework that developers can rely on, rather than creating multiple similar projects, overwhelming front-end developers who already have to deal with all the Javascript changes. Even so, I would definitely need more details about your project before giving you an exact answer. According to the Froala Open Web Design License (https://github.com/froala/design...), if your product isn't a Derivative Work, then you have the freedom create your own royalty-free product. However, if your product is a Derivative Work, then you will have to release your project under the same license Froala Design Blocks is. Hope I answered your question. Let me know if there's anything else you would like to know.

@cborodescu our research to create a bridge for a seamless integration of the Froala Design Blocks with the front-end frameworks/libraries (React, Angular, Vue, etc.), lead us to Web Components as being one of the best approaches. And we're excited about the idea of adding them in the next iteration. In a discussion with a fellow developer, he mentioned Onsen UI (https://onsen.io/), and I think it worths taking a look at it.
