Greetings, Product Hunt! We are excited to announce the Hints app, where all your valuable info—notes, links, screenshots, lists, tasks, files, reminders, and voice memos—is quickly captured and self-organized. We see three main problems of personal knowledge management and note-taking: 1. Important ideas slip through our fingers. 2. Messy notes create frustration. 3. We don't revisit our notes. These three problems cause anxiety and drain energy. Our solution: 1. Capture at the speed of light both on phone and desktop—no context switching. Use shortcuts and hotkeys to capture content from websites, messengers, or emails. Take notes, create tasks, and set reminders via SMS, WhatsApp, or Telegram. Convert your voice messages to text when you don't have time to type. 2. Knowledge gets self-organized. We don't rely on folders, graphs, and discipline. They fail with scaling. We build an automated taxonomy to organize your knowledge into straightforward categories: Meetings, Tasks, Projects, Articles, People, Books, etc. 3. A discovery tool that resurfaces your most valuable notes and shows them in a story format. We bring forgotten but relevant notes back. It gives you a dopamine hit that helps to build a habit of revisiting. You will benefit from the Hints app if you... šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø Want to stay on top of things 😧 Have lots of info slipping through your fingers 😄 Take notes but hardly ever revisit šŸ™€ Struggle through many productivity tools Where we are headed: šŸ¤– We are improving our automated taxonomy by implementing machine-learning and GPT-3. The goal is to make 100% of your knowledge self-organized and save you a lot of energy. šŸ™Œ We believe in collaboration, so we will build a workspace for teams and communities after solving personal knowledge management problems. In the video below, I'll walk you through our main features for both mobile and desktop apps. šŸ“± MOBILE •Tasks with reminders •Capturing URLs and screenshots •Text recognition •Voice-to-text •Attaching files •Social sharing •Creating a custom flow •SMS, Telegram, and WhatsApp bots •Discovery tool •Calendar integration •Apple Shortcuts šŸ’» DESKTOP •Quick text capturing •Quick screen capturing •Web app •Apple Notes export •Sharing hints •Inbox flow

@george_levin um, ā€œOpen Appā€ in the FAQ page leads to hints://shared/3o747OdFYMP95N0oQMV7 which doesn’t work on desktop at least.

Great product, team! With hints, I can drop random ideas, images, and links within seconds and easily use them with the help of search, tags, or reminders. It doesn't matter what type of content this is; it's always effortless to manage pretty much anything.

Two fun facts of the ProductHunt launch day: I woke up at 3:00 am to stay on top of our launch. I've used Hints about 20 times since then. I reach out to my friends via Telegram to ask for their support. I have a small chat ending with "let's talk next week" with most of them. Then I forward this message to our telegram bot and set up a reminder. It feels incredible to stay on top of my things without wasting energy/focus.

This is really helpful. Does it auto-tag and organise the content for me or do I need to manually input the tags while uploading stuff?
George Levin
@rucha_joshi8 thank you! We believe in self-organizing knowledge. Now it automatically breaks down your notes by types and sources. Currently, we are adding more NLP algorithms to automatically detect your Meetings, Tasks, Projects, Articles, People, and Books.

@george_levin Great, thanks for clarifying :)
