Excited to be hunting Tadpole today. Veeraj, Stefan, and the Opal team have been hard at work and delivered an amazing new webcam designed for laptops. It's incredibly small and has great image quality — but it's the directional audio mic that's the real gamechanger. Can't wait to use this product.

@alexisohanian Pretty sleek photos, the one clipped to the Jeans is giving vibes of those old Apple iPod commercials!

@jackson_foster Oooo good point. Definitely vibes. Great creative direction overall — wait til you see the packaging.

Love this form factor, although I thought you might be moving into the Tab, Humane, etc. wearable space at first. Any plans, @veerajchugh?

I just think everyone wishes for a small and very powerful web camera.

Love the minimalistic deisgn. The website is also very nicely designed. How good is it for creating video podcasts?

@jsteneros Very good! Can't beat the form-factor when on the road, too. Portable af. Still super high quality.

Big fan of Opal. Fortunate to get my hands on C1 in the early days and it’s game-changing for me. Love this design and the new product. Also this means will there be a new design update on C1?

Who is your target group? People with bad cameras on their laptops?

Wow, not a usual product on ProductHunt. How much does it cost? Available across the globe? What is the USP apart from the size ?

Incredible looking product - as one would expect from y'all at Opal. Where can we see some images / videos coming out of it! <3 I'm curious how does it stack against the new mac webcams? (but then I might not be the right audience)

No idea why they launched this. instead should have focused on fixing their crappy software. I have the original Opal C1. There is no market need for this product of lower spec than their original device. The whole pitch of the C1 was that it's a 4k webcam, has boke effects etc. Why launch something lower-end when there's already loads of other webcams competing at this price and quality point?
