Hi Product Hunters, We are excited to launch Sable, the first mobile bank built for internationals in the U.S. We are offering a free checking account (with a debit card) and a credit card with lots of great features in the app, and have a lot more products to come! We are a team of international co-founders that moved to the U.S. and realized that it was impossible to get a good credit card or open a bank account online without an SSN and U.S. credit history regardless of our credit history at home. We launched Sable, to ease the transition for internationals moving to the U.S. by giving them access to credit and enabling them to build U.S. credit history from day one. We are excited to give you a seamless experience with no fees and great rewards, while we continue on our mission to build a truly borderless bank, offering products and services to all internationals moving from any one country to another. ______________ Live features Sable Bank account and debit card 🏦 U.S. Bank account & debit card available online 🆓 No account fees, No minimums, FREE wire transfers 🛂 No SSN or U.S. credit history needed Sable secured credit card 🏗 Secured credit card to build your credit score 🤑 No monthly fees 🛂 No SSN or U.S. credit history needed 📱 Available in Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay _____________________________ New features coming soon 📲 Android support (Promo code PH2020 to get early access in February) 💸 Rewards & cashback 💰 Unsecured credit cards 🌐 Free international transfers

I’m a Canadian in the US and I’ve been using Sable for months. Super easy to register and use. Definitely recommend!
Andrej Paule
@robin_l Thanks for your support Robin 😍
Ouriel Ohayon
can you sign up from outside the USA as a non USA resident?
Andrej Paule
@ourielohayon Thanks for your question! Currently you have a US Address in order to open an account (#regulation) 😢 A lot of people have been asking for this from outside the country and we are planning to open up Sable globally in the future 🌐

@andrej_paule I'm confused. On your website it says that I need an address in US to send the card. Can't I add a friend's address?
Gustaf Alströmer
I wish I had this when I moved to the US the first time. Took me a long time to get credit and literally couldn't get a bank account before I got a social security despite having a long bank/credit history in my home country
Lenny Moses
@gustaf my experience exactly

At a glace, sable looks like mercury (my opinion). Why should we leave Mercury, SVB etc for sable?
Naveen Qureshi
@ijomablessing great question! Sable is a checking account and credit card for consumers, whereas SVB / Mercury / Brex are for businesses / startups
Ijoma Blessing
@naveen_qureshi that's very interesting!
Naveen Qureshi
@ijomablessing Thanks! We think so too 😉
Howard Li

I first moved to the US from Canada when I was 20. I wasn't able to get a credit card because I was under 21 and was a foreigner. I wish I had Sable then! Highly recommend to folks who are just moving to the country. It's super easy and it's never too early to start building your credit!
Naveen Qureshi
@lawrencewang7 Thanks for your support, Lawrence!
Shayaan Nadeem
Totally recommend this for international students - the fastest way to start building credit!
Naveen Qureshi
@shayaan_nadeem Thanks for your support, Shayaan!

International residents are so often ignored by big banks and credit cards. Really excited for the invaluable opportunity to be able to help my family members build their credit history! It's nice to know there's people who have gone through the process who are now helping others. Way to go, Sable!
Andrej Paule
@saharshhajela Thanks a lot! Let us know your thoughts how we can further improve. We are committed to providing the best experience!

@andrej_paule My bad experience with Sable: for a few months I tried to open an account, in the first instance they rejected my application because my passport was expired, and they asked me to update the document, the second attempt I entered all my documents, valid passport and life of United States and after 4 days of insisting for an answer they only limited themselves to telling me that they could not open my account without giving more details, and indicating that it was their final decision, whether to have a reason, without indicating why and being a possible client without references in the United States as is their policy and with a good profile ... this is not an inclusive bank, it is not a bank for migrants, it is not a bank with good service, and what do you read me, do not take it as option so that you do not get a bad experience, Sable does not work
Taha ahmed khan
Will it work with Stripe Atlas
Petr Bela
@tahaqadri As mentioned, Sable is for consumers, not businesses.
Naveen Qureshi
@tahaqadri @petrbela Thanks, Petr. Taha, let us know if you have additional questions!
