Email sucked for years. Not anymore — we fixed it. HEY’s fresh approach transforms email into something you want to use, not something you’re forced to deal with.

I'm liking it so far. Just wish the desktop version had tabs like the ones in Gmail. Having to click on the pop-up menu every time you want to access your other inboxes is a little annoying. I created this mockup in Figma of what tabs would like in hey:

I tried HEY the last days and I really enjoyed the UX.
Now I have to migrate from gmail to HEY :)

Notice the hype, today got invite and signed up. Am worried that in current state most users will never get to the point where they uniqueness of HEY will touch on them as it seem to be based around filtering incoming emails, that means that one need to use the service actively for some time. Hope more functions on writing & integrating will arrive, else i do not see myself becoming a customer.
?makers Testing to mail my own Gmail (Gsuite) and it's sending HEY emails to spam

I was a big fan of consider. I emailed hey.com asking for an invite two months ago but never heard anything. Moving on

But product design is a little bit complicated. I love Gmail not only for their features, but for simple design too.

Watched the walkthrough video, and indeed there are quite a few nice ideas. But let's be honest, nothing is revolutionary. Every feature can be replicated with "workarounds"/"hacks" as they point out. But I'd rather do these workarounds rather than pay $100/year.
This really does not deserve the attention it's been getting. Hats off for the getting so many people to upvote on producthunt and the referral system. Yet still a definite no for me

A real evolution of e-mail UX.
Looks so obviously better than whatever default you get in the current e-mail clients.
However, it's hard to get the real feeling without trying it out.
It seems especially useful for non-technical folks which are not apt at configuring and using G-Mail (and similar) in an advanced way.

The product is an excellent combination of design, workflows, and security. I completely shifted to Hey over the last few months, and the platform has made managing emails quite simple. There's the aspect that email accounts are used today for many more things such as access login and business tools; look forward to seeing how this product transforms over time.

While it's new and has a refreshing take on email, it lacks a few basic things imho.
- I cannot delete an email in my screener. Sometimes I just get an email once and I am not sure if I want to receive it or not. There is no way to delete it. I can't keep it in the screener because the "Screen 1... " notification keeps annoying me in the "Imbox"
- There is no "Reply" and "Reply All". Its by default "Reply All".
- The screening is not intelligent. I have tried if for a week and the email from same senders keep coming into my screener even though I have screened them multiple times.
There are tons of other issues which makes me NOT want to pay a premium $99 price. May be few months/years down the line when they perfect it, I might consider paying.
If someone builds a new email, they first have to make sure they got all the basics right. Its 2020 and no one has the patience to wait for an email product to get the basics right.
