I originally developed Wokabulary to better learn Korean. I was attending an evening class and had to jot down lots of new words in class. Repeating and learning the new word was quite hard, however, because paper based word lists were too inflexible and inconvenient.
So, I decided to write my own Mac app with an automatic spaced repetition scheme — that was 10 years ago.
