I created Chatterscan initially to filter my Twitter feed and cut down on all the Chatter. This let me see posts that only had links in them, not see re-tweets, etc.
As I've been building it I've made it easier for me to navigate via hashtags and discover new content to curate.
I use Twtitter saved searches as the basis for my brand monitoring to check for mentions on Twitter, YouTube, Google...
