Any favorite MCP tools?

by

I'm fascinated by the ability to extend what Cursor can do with MCP features but there are so many out there, with some of questionable pedigree, that I'm having a hard time finding the gems.

I've tried a few but so far I've only gotten good usage from the Think tool which allows Cursor to basically jot down notes on it's process which it can then refer to later. Theoretically allowing more context than just the context window https://github.com/DannyMac180/mcp-think-tool Since I've installed it Cursor seems to use it a lot but it's hard to gauge how much it helps in practice. I'm glad the AI likes it though :)

Are there any must have MCP tools that you found have improved your workflow?

Great question — the MCP space is definitely getting crowded, and it’s tough to separate signal from noise. The Think tool is a solid choice; that kind of persistent context memory really pushes Cursor beyond traditional boundaries.

A couple others I’ve been experimenting with:

AutoRecall – good for surfacing relevant past code edits when context resets.

ThreadWeaver – a bit early, but interesting concept in chaining reasoning across files.

Would love to hear more from others too — curious if anyone’s found something that actually impacts day-to-day productivity in a measurable way.

@gianmaria_caltagirone yeah the measurable part is really hard I think. There are no easy metrics or comparisons to make for what you’re doing day to day with this. These two sound interesting! Will definitely try them out, thanks!

I heard that the Figma MCP tool is very useful to create a ux demo.

@kate0927 oh that’s interesting, would have thought something like figma to be too complex for mcp tooling. Thanks for the tip

@kate0927 do you have the link for this tool? I’ve searched a bit but can only find tools that use figma docs as input for your agent not tools that can handle creation in figma. First category is also interesting btw but if cursor could draw/design too that would be fantastic.

@_tijs I usually found some tools on this site.
