Daffy - A new, modern platform for giving

by
Daffy makes giving a habit. Contribute cash, stock, or crypto, watch it grow tax-free, and donate to 1.5M+ charities in the U.S. Daffy is the Donor-Advised Fund for You™, a not-for-profit community built around a new, modern platform for giving.

I can never keep track of my donations when it comes time to do taxes - this is beautiful :)

From what I can tell (they don't make it easy to find), my Brokerage Firm DAF has about 1.5% of management and administrative fees NOT counting underlying mutual funds in the stock portfolio. The :Daffy membership fee structure would put significantly more of my dollars to charity than brokerage firm fees. AND those fees support a non-profit itself which make them tax deductible.

Thank you for making this modern DAF available to everyone. It’s a big market. Based on 2019 IRS 990’s the non-profit market was 2.7 Trillion dollars (13% of US GDP).

i like the idea but since i didn't know what a donor advised fund was it took me a while to get to the value prop. it was this blurb that finally flipped the light switch for me: "A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a tax-deductible financial account for the purpose of charitable giving. When you contribute cash, stocks, or crypto to a DAF, like your fund in Daffy, you'll be able to take an immediate tax deduction for those contributions. Those contributions are invested in a portfolio of your choice and then at any time, you can donate to over 1.5 million charities."
