I love emojis and I love the way Slack and Discord make them available on messages so, why can't we have that anywhere on the internet? Since it would be too hard to convince every single website to add emoji hotkeys I've built the next good thing, a chrome extension that enables that virtually on any text field. This project was made for fun and since today is the world emoji day, I've decided to released to the masses.

Great idea. Working good. Except for some of the shortcuts. Per example wanted the thumb up emoji, but it doesnt take neither : like nor : thumb.

@joseph_ayoub Yes there are some emojis that need a remapping to an easier short name. Thanks for the feedback.

@joseph_ayoub @gonelf I love this! 🍺This is already one of my new favorite extensions. I would be willing to bet that the thumbs up/down emojis are some of the most commonly used emojis there are. Just remapping those two in an update would make this 10x more useful

There’s been an issue with the google, apparently the code in the extension can’t be obfuscated. So, the extension will be down for a few days until google approves the new version.
