@lylemckeany I couldn't have put it any better than this gif.
Nate Smith
@lylemckeany This is going to haunt me in my dreams.
Brian Roach
@lylemckeany that gif 😂

Seriously, how was this not included in today's roundup of writing tools! @rrhoover
Ryan Hoover
@petrev01 love this! Just threw in a recent blog post I wrote. Apparently I could write more good.
João Antunes
@rrhoover @petrev01 ahah. more good better indeed :D
Evan Petrack
@rrhoover haha thanks! I honestly found it forever ago and have been using it for about a year, and just assumed it had been on here before. It seriously one of the most important things I use at work.
Janet Alexandersson
This is priceless. The metrics take this to another level when it comes to writing tools.
Evan Petrack
@janet_alexandersson Right? I work for a super-small business, and this was priceless for me.

awesome sauce...any plans to package as a Mac app like Hemingway? I'd gladly throw down the cash to support what you have built
Evan Petrack
@passingnotes Seconded! I have a feeling that if markdown syntax support was added, too, this could kill it with writers on Medium.

This looks great! As for someone who is trying to get better at writing, this is very nice to have. That being said, I believe that the most important thing about writing is building a habit. It is still the hardest thing for me to do. However, tools like these accelerate learning, which is great! Suggested synonyms, finding filler words, weak verbs and much more... I just started exploring, but there is so much more there. Wow...
Dmitry Suholet
Interesting product. I would enjoyed it more if I don't get this error constantly "ERROR: Could not analyze text. The website might be overloaded due to high number of visitors. Please, wait couple minutes and try analyzing again." I guess it's PH effect :)
Evan Petrack
@suholet Looks like it is working again now!

I discovered Expresso today, yet it's existed for years. I presently use Shosho, which is great, but doesn't work on mobile. Surprisingly, Expresso kind of does. Sadly, it's a bit clunky (since you can't hover on mobile, you need to tap and it's hit-or-miss). It'll make a nice addition to my digital toolkit. The synonym suggestions are a great feature. Also, reading through the metrics page has helped me understand good writing better.
Evan Petrack
@anna_0x love the fact that this little tool I found via some deep googling years ago is still helping people out. Thanks for your comment!
Baard O. Hansen
This is a gem. It has to be one of the best tools for writers
Evan Petrack
@ibaard Indeed - the analytics get pretty deep, it's pretty priceless. I use it for "pitch" emails to clients.
Joe Snell
I've been using grammarly the past few weeks and this has immediately replaced it. Such an awesome little tool.
Jeff Nolan
Nice. I use Grammarly on a daily basis and appreciate that it is sitting over my shoulder and analyzing everything I write. Another related app, not highlighted in the sidebar, is https://www.textio.com/. I was genuinely surprised to see how gender bias was implicit in my writing.
