How do busy founders “reset” during weekends, holidays, or vacations?
So far, the impression I have of this community and maker circles is that you work every day.
Which is great, it’s one of the reasons I’m here.
But sometimes your body and mind need a break.
How do you relax as a busy founder? What’s your reset?
For me, it’s travelling, because I don’t even have time to deal with work. [And I do not mean being on a beach for several days, because I would get bored and anxious]
Other than that, reading books, exercising, hiking, taking long walks, visiting family, or just lying around and staring blankly for a while.

As someone building a trading platform, my biggest reset is disconnecting from the markets. No charts, no notifications, no crypto news. A long walk, exercise, and quality time with family help me come back focused and productive. Sometimes the best trading decision is not looking at the market at all. 🚀📈

@martin_furst Volatility can make you crazy. You are not in a very chill industry :D
@busmark_w_nika To máš pravdu 😄.

@martin_furst Looks like we're both building finance platforms. Just wanted to say good looks!
@blakeatvassant Thank you, Blake! Much appreciated. Wishing you and the Vassant team great success as well. Looking forward to following your journey!
no reason to wait for a weekend. Just add an everyday personal morning or evening routine that depends only on you. For me it's yoga and pranayama. Sometimes an ice bath when I have a place for it.

@boris_lifatov Wow, I didn't know that so many people here are into yoga.
@busmark_w_nika good news :)
Very easy - through meditation. Even 5-10 minutes every day will do wonders.

@goldybin Do you practice yoga too?
I always say that any change of scenery is a major reset. Just take a break from your daily routine and get out of your usual environment for at least one day.

@mykola_novytskyi1 To be in nature is a real blessing!
For me, kettlebells are a great way to unwind. They offer both physical exercise and emotional release, and they're cost-effective, eliminating the need to waste time going to the gym. Long walks and being active with the dog also help; they undoubtedly give me strength, joy, and excitement.

It’s definitely a change of scenery. It’s really hard to relax when you’re staying in the same place where you spend your whole week.
And ideally, it’s a digital detox (yes, the world won’t end in a few hours or even a day if you don’t reply to an “important” message or don’t scroll through a new Reesы, but your brain and body will thank you for it).

@maria_anosova For how long have you stayed away from smartphones? :D

honestly still figuring this out. my problem is a reset only works if its something my brain physically cant work through, otherwise i just end up thinking about things to be resolved or to be improved the whole time. walks dont do it for me, too much room to think. what actually works is reading a book and playing tennis because it leaves no space for work to sneak back in.

@dhanishta_likhar But maybe you are the type of person who, even when you solve things, still finds something that should be done :D
Shram
@busmark_w_nika haha, guilty. theres always one more thing, i think that's just the job. so my trick isn't an empty list, its picking something my brain can't multitask through. you cant plan a roadmap mid-rally in tennis. whats your actual off switch though, or are you in the never-fully-off club too?
minimalist phone: reduce your screentime
@dhanishta_likhar Honestly, I always work, even when it has to be like 1 hour per day! :)
Shram
@busmark_w_nika ha the 1 hour days are the ones that somehow count the most. and a screentime founder who never logs off is the most relatable contradiction ive heard all week, im here for it.
For me, it's disconnecting for a while from the internet, chanting sacred mantras, going to some sort of place that is closer to the nature or forest and maybe meeting family / friends who really help me recharge versus drain my energy.

@rohanrecommends I have a real problem with disconnecting! :D
Long rides and trips into nature help me clear my thoughts and organize them.
When you switch your mind from work, usually at that moment the brain comes up with the right solutions.
The goal is to remember and bring that to the project on Monday)

@adana Do you have any favourite places or countries you have visited?
@busmark_w_nika I live in Armenia, and for me there's less stress when I stay in my own country, especially since there are so many picturesque places to visit. My favorite one is lake Sevan - not far from my city.
minimalist phone: reduce your screentime
@adana I would like to visit it once, for sure! :)
@busmark_w_nika welcome !
Like all others in pursuit of wielding the powers of AI, I simply do not sleep. Haha!! Okay, I sleep, but I work every day because I love what I'm doing. I have an undergraduate degree from an art school, a Master of Science, and an MBA. I've never had the ability to create and market my own product end-to-end until now. I don't want to waste a second of time on anything else!
But I do relax; I have a morning ritual that is extremely important to me. It includes yoga and meditation. That's my relaxation, and it's perfect.
Reminder: My project RFP Copilot launches Tuesday, June 16th. Follow me for more info.
