What changes would you suggest to help you succeed in your present role?

In my opinion, wanting to try new things is a key to success, as is balancing life’s many commitments.

Just as the world changes, so must you. Constantly refine your skills and challenge yourself to learn something new. Some people say, “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it.” The line is a little too well-known for my taste, however. I’d like to think that I’m on the lookout for other words to live by.

Try to maintain a varied schedule. Constantly striving for new experiences can be beneficial.

When you work in a new environment, it can seem like everything is foreign and unfamiliar. To succeed, learn to adapt to the cultural norms and then reflect them back in your conversations and actions.

Be willing to learn the local language and to listen to the people in the communities you visit; this is the only way to gain their respect.
