Hi ProductHunters π
Hacksy is friendly chatbot which answers the most common questions in cyber security: have I been hacked? How secure is my password? How do I repair my accounts if they've been breached?
Hereβs how it works:
β Enter in your email and find out if you've been hacked
β Check your password to see how strong it is
β Check if your friends have had their information leaked
β Find out what on two factor is and why password managers are pretty sick
β½οΈ Pay us some £££ and get access to more tools, alerts, exercises
That's it!
Here are some details about who we are and how we built Hacksy: https://meethacksy.com/about
Weβd love to hear your comments and feedback!
Thank you!
@lisadziuba hi π yep! And thanks for trying us out. Let me know how you're finding it? βΊ

This is fun! Though I have questions about how trustworthy this service can be, I find this service interesting! And good to know that my account hasn't been leaked...yet :p
@criss_cheng thanks for checking us out Criss! We're definitelytrustworthy (although that's what everyone would say right π€). For more info on who we are and how Hacksy works you can check out our website. The about and how sections give a lot more detail. And we publish our security policy as well ππΌ

Joke: I thought you wanted my email and password to determine if I was hacked πππ ok no joke now: great product!
The bot asked my name and i started typing 'you can call me ...' so my name was displayed as 'you can call me ...' that was funny :D
However, the bot works properly, thanks!

People should really not be comfortable giving away their email AND password to some service. Also I don't see why checking my address needs a comfirmation email. A trustworthy alternative would be haveibeenpwned.com
@masone totally agree (and we love and very openly use haveibeenpwned.com). We ask people for a similar password so they don't need to give Hacksy their real one. We also don't store these passwords in any way. All analysis is done client-side on the users browser, so it's never sent to Hacksy.
In fact, try to store as little information about someone as possible. That way they stay safe and we don't make ourselves a target for hackers :)
