Requestly is a set of developer tools to complete all your Network modification requirements: Intercept, Modify, Debug and Test HTTP Requests and Responses.
You can modify headers, mock APIs and responses, set up redirects, delay requests and do a lot more.
Hi Product Hunters!
7 years ago, my co-founder Sachin came up with the idea of creating Requestly to ease the process of intercepting and modifying HTTPs requests. Started as a hobby project, Requestly now powers over 100,000 software developers around the world including those at top tech companies.
As people are doing more and more astounding things with Requestly every day, we are growing very rapidly and this keeps us motivated to build Requestly a world-class developer tool.
With all the user's feedback and keen observations for over a year, we came up with these major feature launches:
1. Modify Headers: Modify HTTP(s) Request & Response headers (Extremely helpful for web developers for debugging applications).
2. Delay Network Requests: Delay API requests to test the loading experience
3. Redirect URLs, Change Host, Modify Query Params: Modify the URL of the ongoing request and change the URL to something else. Switching Hosts (All requests for [xyz.com](http://xyz.com/) should go to [abc.com](http://abc.com/) )
4. Insert Custom Scripts: User scripts are simple JavaScript, CSS code that can change the layout of a page, add or remove new functionality and content, or automate actions.
5. Mock API Response - XHR & Fetch Requests: Define Custom Response for your APIs requested by XHR or fetch. Block requests or Websites by matching keywords or URL criteria. Stay Focused by blocking distracting or harmful sites.
6. We also have a Marketplace where you can get pre-created use cases like Enable CORS, Block Social Media etc.
We value our user's feedback and queries the most!
If you have any query you can ping us on our Twitter handle, and if you liked Requestly, giving a good review never hurts :)
@flora_kee - Although both have similar base, Requestly has more intuitive UI, friendly Rule types, easy sharing, generate mock APIs and you can intercept only a specific desktop app/browser rather than interception whole system. We'll soon be offering interception support for Android devices, terminal instance and Docker.
@nancy_draz - With Requestly you can redirect things to local assets and also inject scripts into the web page. So possibilities are infinite, it's up to you how you intend to use it.
