Shield sends in real time your Facebook and Instagram comments to a designated Slack channel from which you can take actions on every comment: like, hide, delete, reply to the comment or message its author with just on the click without ever leaving Slack! π―
@geoffroymorel So props for this. My tip: add a "frequency setting" so users can chose when to receive notifications on Slack. For example, we have clients at our agency that will want us to reply in real-time, but for most we have agreements whereby we agree on 2, 6, 8, 12 or 24 - 48h response times. So I know my social media managers said that receiving all comments in real time for several accounts isn't ideal - especially when it's not *necessary*. But overall convenience factor is very high. Good job!
Hey ProductHunt! π
I'm so excited to share Shield with you today! π
Shield was at first an internal Slack application I developed this summer when my team started spending a few thousands per day on Facebook Ads: we needed an effective way to moderate every comments below our posts and ads to keep them performing. Answering questions, offering promo codes, blocking the trolls... β
It has become so useful that I decided to turn it into an actual product and release it for all, thinking that collecting ideas and feedbacks from more users could only make it better! π
Main features are the followings:
1. Receive Facebook and Instagram comments in real-time π‘
2. Like, hide and delete the comment is just one click β€οΈ
3. Reply or message the author directly from Slack π¬
In the settings, you will also find a way to automatically translate the comments to a specific language (we use it for our German brands). Also, there is an easy way to specify a list of blacklisted keywords and automatically trigger a hide or a delete on the negative comment. π
Shield is free and setup is super fast (32 seconds)! β‘οΈ

Let me know what you guys think, feedbacks are well appreciated! βοΈ
@xd_dins thanks Dinesh. Yes, in our case moderating the comment section is critical to keep performing Ads. Trolls and GIFs can really hurt. Looking forward your feedbacks! π
As we prepare to launch our new app called Openroad that detects car crashes and gets you help (https://www.getopenroad.app/) we are using shield to get notified and respond to Facebook comments. It was easy to install and so far has been really powerful, as a way of making sure the entire team is aware of exactly what our prospects and customers are saying about us, and how we're responding. Props Shield team on a really useful and well-designed product.
This is really exciting to see. Any chance this works with Facebook Groups, too, or any plans to incorporate that in the future? Would be a community manager's dream!
