Hi everyone, We're very happy to introduce UpNote to Product Hunt community. UpNote is an easy-to-use notes app that is designed to work well on all platforms, and currently available on Mac, Windows and iOS. We hope it would be useful for you! As a heavy notes user, I have tried out several apps to manage my notes. However when I had more notes, many of them became cluttered and hard to manage. When I created UpNote, I wanted to make it really easy to manage notes even if I have a lot of notes. I also wanted it to work well on all platforms because I noticed many apps are for Apple devices only. It’s easy and intuitive to organize in UpNote. You could put your notes into nested notebooks, pin important notes on top or add them to quick access. The notes and notebooks can be re-arranged to your preferred order. To keep the workspace clean and uncluttered, you can close unused notebooks and open them later. You could immerse in your writing by switching to focus mode. With clean UI, elegant themes and rich editor, UpNote makes writing pleasant. You could add tables, checklists, images, files and links to your notes. Typewriter mode is also supported to help writing long notes comfortable. There are many more features in UpNote that you could explore. We are excited to hear any feedback you have and will do our best to improve UpNote in the future. P.S: We're giving 50% discount for Product Hunt users for 1 week. We hope you would enjoy using UpNote :)

@thomasdao This looks great. Currently I'm using notion. I'll give upNote a try :)
Thomas
@ajay_prem_shankar Thank you, let us know if you have any feedback :)
David Leininger
@thomasdao can you have multiple authors/editor on a note? Looking for something I can share with my family and we can all update together.
Thomas
@davidleininger thanks for asking, UpNote currently doesn’t support that feature yet

Amazing! After a few days with UpNote i must say, i'm in love! Have been looking for something like this for years! Haven't found a simple/well designed lightweight notes app that syncs between iOS and Windows, thanks for making this!😍😁 My only concern is you being able to maintain support and the cloud data with the low cost of the monthly/lifetime plan. Services that provide cloud sync/storage usually don't sit well with lifetime plans in the long run, so I signed up for the monthly plan just to make sure you get some recurring revenue, but would love to pitch in more.😟 Don't take it the wrong way, i love the low price of it, but concerned that it won't be feasible in the long run. I hope you can allow for some higher priced monthly tier alternatives or ways to donate to the project to make sure it stays alive!🙏

@fillwe hi Filippus, wow I’m so happy to hear that you like UpNote and thanks so much for your support! Yes maintaining an app with constant improvements is hard however we are deeply motivated by our users’ satisfaction and feedback. We do our best to keep our premium affordable as we figure out that the best way to sustain the app’s quality is to have as many users to use it as possible (and given our users’ positive conversion so far). So if you know anyone who may benefit from UpNote, please help us spread the words. We greatly appreciate that! <3

this looks neat and clean. I've been looking for nested notebook systems to organize notes. Will certainly give it a try :)
Thomas
@jaslyn305 Thank you, hope it'll be useful for you

This looks great, is there any plan for a web/browser based app at all?
Thomas
@rachid_otsmane Thanks for asking, we don't have plan for browser based app yet, our number one priority now is working on an Android app so that our users can sync data on all platforms :)

It looks an awful lot like “Bear”. How do you differentiate?
Edson Kan Ishigami
@mickc79 Bear only works in Mac and iOS ecosystem. This is very limited for me. Unfortunately, I use Windows too.
Thomas
@mickc79 thanks for asking, we are quite different from Bear. First UpNote is not a markdown editor. Second, as Edson points out, UpNote is designed to work on all platforms. Other than that I hope you try it out and you could find the difference :)
Primer
@thomasdao Tried it. Like it. Is there a way to shut down the two sidebars and just have the editor open. I've looked around and couldn't find a way to do this. Sadly a dealbreaker for me.
Primer
@thomasdao ugh... just found "focus" mode. Sorry I saw that icon and assumed it meant fullscreen mode.
Thomas
@mickc79 Glad that you found it. Let us know if you have any questions, thanks :)

Clean Ui. looks interesting, will try
Thomas
@cool_boy2 Thank so much, hope it'll be useful for you :)
Alex Papageorge
Looks good! Can you integrate with 3rd parties? For me specifically, substack?
Thomas
@alex_papageorge Thanks for asking, we don't integrate with any 3rd parties yet, however your notes can be exported to various formats like text or markdown that you may import to other systems :)
Marta Ogden
It looks super clean. I use Evernote, but i'll give it a try! :)
Thomas
@marta_og Thanks so much, we hope UpNote would be useful for you!

Looks interesting and clean!
dev fric
Almost like OneNote
Jaslyn
@fric I actually find it much easier to write in UpNote vs adding the textbox in OneNote. I've been trying UpNote since last night and so far it seems much more intuitive to organize my notes there.
