I'm reasonably cautious during these COVID-19 times and even before now, interacting with touchscreens that EVERYONE is touching isn't terribly appealing. Stimulant have been making interactive displays for a long time and it makes so much sense that they'd create something like this. One of those, "so obvious once you see it," products.

Hey Product Hunters! Having run an agency that has designed and built custom public-facing touchscreen applications for the past 15 years, we struggled to recommend a safe and easy-to-implement way to keep these kinds of systems operational during the pandemic and in a post-COVID world. Frustrated with the limitations of currently-available solutions (distributing PPE to users, gestural retrofits, or turning them off completely), we developed a new SaaS-based solution that enables contactless control of shared touchscreens from any smartphone. Our service installs in minutes, is mastered in seconds, and enables contactless control indefinitely without requiring maintenance or consumables. Freetouch turns any smartphone into a virtual trackpad, letting you interact with shared touchscreens from the safety of your own device. Simply snap a QR code to control the screen in front of you -- no app download or login required. This is a solution designed to address urgent concerns facing any business that relies on touch-based systems as part of its customer experience. From retail and restaurants to museums and attractions (and beyond), Freetouch enables operators to go touchless quickly and easily.
