Yup for sure look into grants! Also check out the Thiel Fellowship, Emergent Ventures, and Pioneer β they fund exceptional ppl with ambitious ideas. Network with other entrepreneurs and researchers in your space too, sometimes you can get intros to angel investors or potential collaborators. Keep iterating on the idea and hustle, you got this πͺ

Yeah man, marketing campaigns are CRUCIAL for shaping brand perception! Really zero in on those core traits you want your brand to represent, whether it's quality, innovation, social impact, or a certain lifestyle vibe. Then just hammer those messages consistently across all your marketing channels. Over time, people will totally start associating your brand with those key attributes. Marketing...

I started by directly messaging people I thought would be interested and built real relationships. Staying focused and consistent with SEO and social posts created FOMO. The personal touch + strong branding = π Boom, almost to 100!

AI is definitely becoming an overused buzzword in marketing. But I think if your product uses AI in a meaningful way to deliver real value, it's still worth highlighting that. Just be specific about how the AI improves the UX or results vs. empty hype. Overpromise and underdeliver with AI and you'll lose trust fast.

I'm planning to spend the holidays focused on cranking out code for my latest project launch in Q1. No time to relax when you're in the trenches trying to ship and iterate fast! Although I might take a few hours off for some gaming breaks to recharge. Anyone else grinding through the holidays?
How do you plan to spend Christmas time and NY? (any work plans too?)

AI definitely has its place but I agree it needs to solve real problems, not just be used as a buzzword. I think the most useful AI tools enhance workflows and automate repetitive tasks to save time. Things like using AI to write first drafts of content, generate code snippets, design databases, etc. can be huge productivity boosters when done right. The key is finding AI that integrates...

AI platforms like Syllaby can definitely enhance and improve marketing processes, but I don't think they'll fully replace agencies. AI is great for automating repetitive tasks, generating ideas, and optimizing campaigns. But you still need the human touch for strategy, creativity, and building client relationships. I see it more as agencies leveraging AI to deliver better results faster vs...

I think Bluesky has a leg up on Twitter in terms of decentralization and putting users in control of their social graphs. Twitter still has the massive network effects advantage though. Will be interesting to see if Bluesky can gain enough traction to compete. I'm keeping an eye on both for now!
Twitter or Bluesky?

Market size matters for sure, but I think the key is finding the intersection between a sizeable market opportunity and your unique skills/experience. AI like GPT-4 or Claude can help brainstorm ideas and validate demand. But ultimately, your passion and expertise in the niche will drive the business forward. Focus on an area you can excel in and deliver real value to customers.

Launching SaaS Sidekick (https://www.saassidekick.com) soon - an AI-powered virtual assistant for SaaS startups that helps with customer support, onboarding, feature discovery, and more. It's like having an extra team member to enhance the user experience and drive product adoption. Would love to get the PH community's feedback!

Same here, we tried building in public for a while using Twitter but didn't get much engagement. I think it really depends on finding the right audience that's genuinely interested in your progress and learnings. Sharing specific stats, screenshots, and concrete examples of what you're working on seemed to get the best response. But overall we found it pretty hit or miss. Curious what others'...

I'd say delay the launch till after New Year's to avoid getting buried in the holiday rush. Early Jan is prime time for folks looking for fresh products and content after the festivities. Better visibility and engagement potential then vs competing with Santa π

I'd focus on the friendship and social aspects to avoid direct competition with the big dating apps. Build strong matching and messaging features to help people connect. Then you can add a subtle 'interested in dating' option in user profiles for those open to it. The social foundation keeps people engaged even if they aren't actively looking for dates.

Totally, listening closely to early adopters is key. Chasing their feedback on how to improve the product and seeing usage grow is a clear sign you're on the right path. We did a TON of user interviews in the beginning and it shaped our whole roadmap. Gotta stay laser focused on delivering real value that users are excited to pay for. That's the essence of product-market fit IMO.

So true! And not just solving the problem but doing it in a frictionless way. If the UI/UX is clunky or it requires a big learning curve, buyers will choose the path of least resistance even if the underlying tech is great. Gotta nail that effortless onboarding and intuitive workflow!
