👋 Hey Hunters - can't believe the day has finally come to be sharing Accord with the world!
My cofounder / brother Ryan and I first became obsessed with sales and had an inkling that something like Accord should exist while learning the trade at Stripe and Google Cloud.
I had an incredible experience scaling Stripe’s sales org from a couple of us trying to figure out the sales-led motion to a 450-person global machine. It was a hard place to leave but after years of Ryan and I sharing the same frustrations about the realities of B2B sales and armed with an idea of how to solve it for both buyers & sellers... well here we are! 🤠
The 3 main challenges that led us to take the leap and build Accord:
🙊 Customers don’t want to talk to sales reps
One of the wildest learnings so far is that 95% of the buying process is NOT spent with a seller. This leaves companies only 5% of the entire process to engage.
This is compounded by the major lack of focus on actually partnering with customers to solve their problems. Sellers aren’t taking into account the needs of modern buyers or how they want to purchase (transparently & collaboratively).
😭 It’s worse to be a buyer
Most surprising was what we learned when we started talking to buyers while figuring out how we were going to solve the first two issues: It’s worse to be a buyer.
Today, the average B2B sale involves 14+ people, and that’s only on the buyers’ side. This epiphany is really what forced us to take the leap and solidify what Accord needed to be and solve for.
♻️ Lack of repeatable systems
Even if you had the above all figured out, there’s no system to reinforce this collaborative, buyer-first approach. Nothing exists to structure the sales like you have with engineering (Github), design (Figma), product (Jira). No matter how many sales philosophies or tools you try, you’re never going to see a real transformation in sales until you bring the buyer into the process.

This product is truly incredible. Anyone in sales knows the organization of the process is easily the worst part. Anyone who runs a sales team knows that the inconsistency from rep to rep in said process makes things almost impossible to manage.
Accord solves all of those problems, while most importantly, delighting the end customer by selling and implementing collaboratively vs. the traditional "back and forth" model.
Teams of 5, 500 or 50000 all will find incredible value and ROI by using Accord.
So awesome. The mutual evaluation process is often disjointed and inconsistent among reps - how are they supposed to keep track of everything?! Accord ensures the sales cycle is actually repeatable, and collaborative!

Accord is the first product built by enterprise sales reps who deeply understand how to help other sellers close more deals.
If you're multi-threaded in your sales process, and you AREN'T using Accord... you are leaving money on the table.
Being able to use Accord to track, engage, close, and integrate has been wonderful! Especially for complex tech sales where integrations can drag on over a year, having one shared platform that buyers and sellers love has been awesome! Huge props to the Accord team for making such a great product!

Congrats on the launch! Super impressed with what you've built, and how effectively it solves a core problem from both the sales and buyer perspective. Facilitating a structured, repeatable workflow that helps both parties have a more efficient and transparent buying/selling process is not an easy problem to solve - so congrats on tackling it with such a robust product, clearly informed by your lived experience of the problem.
