We started Campsite in 2022 to help designers share work in progress, but along the way, we ended up building an entirely new (and better!) way for teams to collaborate. This year, we went heads-down to build everything we needed to simplify our entire communication stack (we no longer use Slack, Notion, and Zoom). Campsite combines posts, calls, docs, and chat into one app so your team can move faster and stay focused. It's a refreshingly new way to work, where all of your team communication happens in one place and is easy to share or find later. And today, Campsite is available for everyone! Here are a few more details about the primitives that make Campsite so useful: Posts — the default way to communicate on Campsite; conversations are threaded by default, organized into spaces, and easy to find. Docs — a simple but powerful text editor with beautiful formatting, inline comments, rich embeds, and web publishing. Calls — one-click calls (with screen sharing) that can be recorded and automatically summarized to share with your team. Chat — DMs and group chat for private conversations and real-time collaboration. There's a lot more you'll just have to try for yourself: AI-generated post summaries and resolutions, follow-ups, feedback requests, integrations with Linear & Cal.com, and so much more. Wait this is wild - I can see small teams and big teams can replace so many tools with this. LOVE IT! You can replace Notion, Slack, Google Meet, Zoom, meeting AIs, etc. Love the migration guide section too. I can def see startups starting will have a slightly easier time adopting this tool, but I think companies who want to consolidate everything will see the benefit too. I think the goal is to make everything SUPER seemless and connected. Maybe the obvious next tool would be calendar as well? Calendar -> meeting -> post -> discussion -> ? Congrats on the launch @brian_lovin and team! Def an ambitious project, but I think this is the future. All in one apps.

We've been testing out Campsite for the last few weeks at Basedash, and I've become a believer in it. I think it's too early to say if I'll be able to convince the whole team to move over (old habits die hard) but I think we'll eventually use it for more and more of our internal communication. Our original use case was for a Multi.app replacement, as they've were acq by OpenAI recently. We wanted something that would help us have better internal calls, as we're a fully remote and distributed team. That use case, though, isn't what has kept us using it—we're actually moved a lot of our "bigger" conversations over from Slack/Notion/Figma/Linear into Campsite. Here's the value for us, specifically from a designers perspective: Previously, when I had a rough concept, or a new design that was ready for feedback, I shared it to Slack. Nothing quite wrong with that, but if any other discussions popped up in that channel, it became a chore to keep something relevant. I was having to bump conversations, reply in threads and "also send this to channel" and had to work to keep a topic that might need a few days or weeks to marinate fresh in the team's mind. What ended up happening, though, is that I'd then forget that I didn't have all of the feedback, or someone would miss the post, and then we'd have to dig back and then reshare. Or worse, it would just get forgotten in the feed. There's not been a place where that conversation, embedded designs, and feedback loop has been organized until we started using Campsite. The single inbox it has serves as a todo list, where I can see other teammates replies and comments from across all posts, and I can take action or dismiss them without losing track of a conversation. With Slack/Notion, it was never easy to feel like I had a read on what was relevant to me. With Slack, it's a firehose, with Notion, it's a, well... it's a dumpster fire (for us). I never know where anything is. Campsite has given us a solution to that problem, and one that I didn't even know existed. In addition to that, I see a huge potential with their video chat fully replacing Zoom/Meet, as the meetings-as-a-post model is one of those "why has no one done this before?" types of features. For user interviews, design/product jams, and demos, having a recorded, transcribed (with timestamps), and summarized version of that call allows us to find what customers/prospects have said with a search, and feel like it's possible to have async meetings and still feel in the loop. I'm an advocate for recording every call, and the way that campsite handles the recording puts every single other video call service to shame. The only hurdle I see with this is that most people who use it externally are unfamiliar with anything but zoom, so there's a learning curve with opening a new video app for them when meetings start. One last point. The campsite team straight up ships. They've been unbelievably responsive, thorough, and receptive to feedback and have shipped numerous quality of life improvements in our short few weeks of use. That drive gives me confidence that they'll out-execute other apps and add features (of a higher quality) where other apps have absolutely stagnated. I can't count on Zoom, Slack, or any other app to ship basically anything new anymore. The pain points they have will continue to exist. I'm confident that if something is missing/early in Campsite, their team will be aware and willing to ship fixes and improvements. Great launch. Highly recommend. It's not an easy switch, but I think it's worth it.

We migrated a couple of months ago and are very happy. It's designed to gently nudge you towards keeping some structure and organization, without it feeling that way. The structure emerges organically, you don't have to do a whole lot of thinking of "where does this go?" before you post. Product feels very solid with lots of attention to detail and is developed rapidly. Very good experience. Congrats on the public launch!

I’ve used Campsite with multiple teams and every time there’s a palpable sigh of relief and inspiration when they switch from Slack into a calmer more cohesive Campsite. The product is exquisitely built and considered. It sets the bar for team communication.

Our team @ Aliases.co signed up for Campsite excited, but skeptical of its ability to replace products that are entrenched in teams and have such inertia such as Notion, Slack, and Zoom. Interestingly Campsite doesn't totally replace such tools, but it carves a spot for itself between them (in a good way). It makes room for itself to organically grow and be adopted, which is quite brilliant. Here's standout features and emerging patterns for our crew: #1 Recorded & Transcribed Team Calls: Killer feature that's made it most sticky. Sure you can record in Zoom and upload for transcription, etc, but Campsite does it so easily and the team is improving call quality and call features daily! @alwaysunday also use recorded calls for user interviews and it works perfectly, the AI summaries are fantastic. #2 Posts Posts Posts: Somehow they nailed posts so they thread the needle with "just enough" features where it feels light and easy to create a bespoke thread that will stay around and doesn't get lost like Slack, and doesn't feel so... heavy like Notion. It's got all the right features but so simple. #3 Spaces are the new Channels: I like how Spaces are more contextual glue and hashtags VS dedicated channels you must live in like Slack. They're easily tagged across any Call, Post, etc, on the fly. --- Then there's the attention and love that @brian_lovin & his team give to early users and the product itself. It's exactly what you want to see and a major "feature" unto itself for adopting such a product. You know they're listening and prioritizing the most important user requested features and bugs. Congrats on the public launch! We've been using Campsite for product dev and collaboration and it's so amazing to have such a unified place to take meetings, share updates, work out solutions, and just shoot the sh*t. Transparency among the team is really important for us, and having all our product discussions archived and searchable, and integrated with our other tools like Linear, is so good. It's really streamlined our process. We couldn't be happier with it! The pricing is a steal for the features you're getting, and the team ship updates extremely regularly. Highly recommend giving it a try!

We use campsite everyday for team collaboration. We love the clean and streamlined design. It’s not over-engineered like lots of collaboration tools. We used to use Notion but immigrated everything onto campsite. Would highly recommend!!!

We've been using Campsite exclusively at Aliases.co (@kyleledbetter), which has replaced Notion, Zoom, and to some extent Slack for us. Love Campsite. My team and I would remark often how the sheer number of different tools born in the pandemic that offer basic functionality had gotten absurd. It genuinely makes zero sense for any fast moving startup to have to switch between different apps for basic functionality (Google Docs, Notion, Slack, Loom, Zoom etc) when you can just combine for an all-in-one. Helps that Campsite is meticulously designed! Super long this idea and company!

I'm so excited today is finally here. We have been deeply unsatisfied with how many tools we needed just to run a small startup, and talking to users, it was clear we weren't the only company with this problem. We've been obsessing over building a better way to collaborate with teammates. In just a few months, we shipped calls, docs, and chat and were able to totally replace a bunch of subscriptions. By far the best outcome of having all our collaboration in Campsite is that everything is connected: backlinks, search, references, etc. No more asking "where did we take those notes?" or forgetting where a decision was made. It's all just in Campsite. I can't wait for you to try it.

Campsite is such a well-built piece of software. I visit it from time to time just to get satisfaction from its design, UX, and features. Unfortunately, my team doesn't use Campsite yet, but I hope it will change in the future. Godspeed, team!

We switched to Campsite from Slack, Notes, Reminders, Notion and it's just replaced all of them. The call AI summary along with the structure of Campsite means we have such an organised process and communication strategy.
