We've developed a tool that allows users to explore, compare, and rank employers based on the workplace cultures they've created. Our product is called "Culturama โ€, so the word "cultur(e)" with the suffix "rama" (as in "panorama") to evoke the idea of a panoramic view or display of diverse workplace cultures. During our brainstorming sessions, one of us came up with this name, and we all loved it as it effectively conveys the purpose of our tool.

The founder of our company used to work in Entertainment and he would be in meetings where people would argue about who would make the best celebrity ambassador that fit the brand's image. He didn't think it was right for a couple of people in a meeting room to decide who was the "cutest", "most talented" etc. We started out as a big data platform for K-Pop fans. (Celebs is a short slang for celebrity in Korean) A few years later, he built an AI that analyzes the semantics of enormous user review data (including noisy data like Twitter) and generates real-time rankings :) Because the founding motivation is important, we never changed our name although we developed an Ai and branched out to different industries We actually launched ๐Ÿš€ today! Thought of keywords that revolved around clothing, closet, and then words that were related to styling/choosing/smart decisions, landed on vetted. Combined the two = Vetted Closet. Dumbing it down makes it sound like it was quick but it took embarrassingly long.
