Is work from home affecting your productivity in any way?

Beating the comforts of the comfort zone and maintaining the productivity is a herculean task.

I am more productive when I'm working alone. There's more distraction when I'm at the office like noise, officemates who likes to chitchat, etc.

I notice I spend less time doing work but I get more work done. So efficiency > looking busy. Definitely a boost in productivity for me, but I understand that might not be the case for everyone.

@richard_gao2 the same here.

In my experience, working from home is easily distracting and not conducive to good health, and can lead to tension in family relationships.

Sometimes it is difficult to focus on work, but there are many advantages in this: I do not depend on others, I can divide my time for work, etc.

Working from home requires much more discipline. But as a developer i am more productive without interruption.

It depends on the day! But my most productive times are when I work from home, in my workspace. Not from the couch, the dining room, etc.

@mimih_arteaga Yes, a proper workspace is very important.

if anything, work from home has increased productivity for me as I tend to work through the hours I would usually commute. Also, given the flexibility of being allowed to work in my PJs, I have been working longer than I usually would. Some times, it is not a good thing but having the flexibility definitely helps.

@jithin_g It definitely is!

As someone who has always been a big proponent of working from the office, I have definitely noticed a drop in my productivity since transitioning to working from home. While there are certainly some benefits to not having a daily commute and being able to work in a comfortable environment, I have found that the distractions of being at home can be a major hindrance to my productivity. I have found it much more difficult to stay focused and motivated while working from home. I also miss the social aspect of being in an office, as well as the collaboration and brainstorming that comes from being around other people. Overall, while I can see the appeal of working from home, I personally prefer the structure and productivity of working from the office.

@hemantwarier I feel the same actually, speaking of the home distractions as such. Oh and team collaboration is of course something special about the office work :)
