I'm excited to share this reimagined version of Heydai with you for 2024!
Heydai primarily exists to help answer two questions:
1. Where is all my time going?
2. Does my time match my priorities?
After several months of iterating, I'm confident in Heydai's ability to answer those questions and feel that it genuinely adds value to my day. I hope it can for you as well!
I would love any questions and feedback if you are willing to give the app a try. Thanks for your time, interest, and support 🙏🏻

Congrats on the launch!
It seems that one needs to manually record the information for each activity.
I suggest implementing automatic monitoring. Similar apps (including mobile and desktop versions) have already achieved this.
@bonvisions Thanks for your feedback, Bon! Currently, you do need to manually record information for each activity. Some of that is made easier by the ability to copy previous entries when adding something new, but I fully agree that more automatic tracking would go a long way. I view this latest release as a foundation to build upon and plan on more automation soon.
Is there any specific automation you would be looking for in Heydai?
Thanks again, enjoy your day and New Year!

How does the app know what u r doing in different period of time? Or do u have to input manually?
@lilynez It's mostly manual at the moment. My vision is for this to be a foundation to build more automation around. I've been experimenting with a ChatGPT integration to make tracking your time with natural language a lot easier, and have more planned for automated tracking for sleep, workouts, screen time, etc.. More to come, thanks for your question!
@frank_denbow Amazing! Thank you so much for putting this together, Frank 🙏🏻 this is very valuable feedback I can use to improve. There's another section on the landing page you can scroll down to, 100% on me for not making that clear. Maybe a product video on the site would be better? Anyway, thanks again and enjoy your 🏀

Great job Sean! Let's measure to fix or improve. It looks like this tool helps us to do that correctly. All the good vibes here!
I really like the app. I need such a simple app with my ADHD. I like how it's done. It's really cool and simple.
However, I need two things to start using it:
1. Quick add feature that allows me to add by category without typing anything. For example, like category my kid or testing or writing. So I don't need to type every time I log something.
2. Quick log. When I log, I just finished doing something and I want to record it. So I just select the first time entry, not the last. The last time should be automatically done with the current time.
These are the things I need because I need less friction when adding entries. Now there is too much work to add an entry.
I went through all the steps of visiting on my laptop, seeing it's an iOS app, downloading it on my phone, signed in with email (no Google Sign in option etc.), checking my email to get a magic link, only to see that a free trial with auto-subscription is the only option to try the app.
I hate this design flaw. Just be upfront about this instead of making the user find out at the end after they invest so much already. Do you really need such a fucked up design pattern to market an otherwise great looking tool?
@eltonlin thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback, Elton 🙏🏻 I don't at all want getting started with the app to feel this frustrating. If you feel this way, I'm sure others do too – I will reevaluate.
Wow, this app looks so cool! It is actually exactly what I was waiting for, except I unfortunately don't have an iPhone.
When will it be available for Android?
@caros Thank you, Caroline! I will have an Android version out but don't have an exact date for you yet.

Hey Sean, congrats on the reimagined Heydai! It's great to see how it can help us manage our time and priorities. How did you come up with the idea for this app?
@goyashy Thanks Yash! Bits and pieces have been in the works for years, but this latest version and vision for Heydai started when I took a rough fall down a staircase. Ended up okay, but that event sparked a lot of reflection and feeling about how I let so much time slip by unnoticed. I wanted to be more intentional about where my time went moving forward and built Heydai as a tool to help.
