I have finally found the to-do list that I have been looking for. I have thought about making something like this myself as I've wanted that much. Now, I don't have to!

So have you got that task list with five levels of nested sub tasks? Or do you have a huge backlog on that Kanban board? Go on take a second and admit you Imay) have a a problem. I have. Because of this I am experimenting with productivity systems. It is not the first time, nor will it be the last. In looking at lots of apps and approaches, Volition stands out for three reasons. 1. It has a light weight Promodoro estimates. Fancy way of saying estimate how many 25 minutes increments soemthing will take. 2. It has a task list that links to estimates of time. Does your to do app do that? 3. There is a reflective space, a daily journal. You could literally move from data crunching time activities to reflecting on the meaning of time in a snap. Awesome. But, this still at a very early stage. So there are issues with the application. Some are easily flexible, like enusuring that users have access to all pages in the app, and ensuring that the payment system actually works and an easy path to reset passwords. I like the app, and hope these issues are resolved. The biggest challenge for this app is an odd one - people seem willing to pay, but the developer is reticent to charge. I interpret that to mean that this is the right guy building the app, and hope he gets someone on board to sort out the business side. I wish the developer all the luck, and in case you wondering I have had three really productive days - partly because Violition exists, and partly because I have a deadline approaching. I have not attempted to selfhost the app, as it would be way to complex for me, so I cannot comment on that.
