I'm Dave, and I'm thrilled to introduce the world to Hi.Events, an open-source event management and ticket-selling platform.
I created Hi.Events because there are very few modern, open-source ticketing platforms, and many SaaS ticketing applications charge outrageous fees. My goal is to offer a more affordable and flexible solution for event organizers through an open-source platform.

Hi Dave, the embeddable ticket widgets seem pretty versatile. Could you explain more about the customization options available for these widgets?
@memphys_sk Sure! Currently, we support changing everything from the button text to the background color and language. We provide HTML you can easily copy and paste into your HTML or React website. In the future, we'll have even more customization options related to layout, etc.

For analytics, we provide real-time information about total sales, total tax, total service fees, unique visitor count, and total homepage views.
And yes! We do plan to integrate with other payment platforms in the future. We know Stripe isn't supported everywhere, so we're currently looking at payment options that would allow us to support more countries.

@sentry_co I've worked on events in the past, and there was no modern open-source ticketing platform, so I decided to build one.
I'm hoping making it open-source gives smaller organizers an opportunity to sell tickets without having to pay crazy fees.
@dave_earley1 Competition is always nice! Hopefully someone will do what you're doing for ticketing for hotels and flight tickets as well. This area could use some disruption as well 😸
