What is your meditation background? Do you prefer guided or unguided meditations? I'd love to know πŸ™

Is there any benefit to this over a normal timer?
Manuel Kehl
@richard_gao2 thank you for asking. That's a great question! Yes, there are multiple benefits over a normal timer: One key feature are recurring interval bells which meditators often use as a cue to return their focus to the present moment when thoughts drift off. Most normal timer apps don't do that. But Zenitizer has a lot more to offer: from soothing background sounds, to fully customizable timer stages (e.g. a 2 minute preparation bell for deep breathing exercises or setting an intention prior to the meditation) and full integration with Apple platform features like saving your meditations to Apple Health and automating your meditations with Siri Shortcuts. For some users a simple timer will be enough and that's okay. On the other end of the spectrum users might want fully narrated guided meditations (and there's many apps for that already). Zenitzer fills the gap somewhere in between 😊 🧘

@richard_gao2 to add on to what @manuelkehl said, these are things that I look for in Meditation apps: 1. Saving Mindfulness minutes into the Health app via Apple's HealthKit. 2. Streaks. Nothing builds a habit better than seeing a streak.

it looks really nice Manuel! nice job on the widgets and other OS integrations. I know that's a lot of work but makes the app feel very native and smooth. the onboarding and ui were both simple and I enjoyed jumping right into a meditation. Best of luck with this product!

Manuel Kehl
@shaur_ul_asar Thank you for the kind words and high praise ("masterpiece" πŸ₯Ή 🀩 ❀️). Happy to hear you'll start using it. For me it's the most motivating thing about building and shipping products: knowing there's someone out who uses something I created and knowing it has a positive impact on their life 😊

Congratulations on the launch of Zenitizer! I'm sure it will help people cultivate a regular meditation practice with its deep OS integration and supportive features. πŸ™
Manuel Kehl
@rana_phool Thank you, Rana! That's certainly what I'm hoping πŸ™ Here's a fun tidbit about the streaks feature (for cultivating a regular practice): Instead of breaking your streak when you don't reach your daily goal, the streak is just "paused" (i.e. it does not grow but is also not reset to 0), as long as you meditated at all. And when you reach your daily goal, the streak grows. I would not want to "punish" users by resetting the streak, if they took the time to even meditate just one minute a day and I hope this strategy makes the "streaks" feel kinder and less stressful (Zenitizer should make people more calm and not be another thing to worry or stress out about, after all). I'm always open to feedback by the way if you have any thoughts!

What a fantastic launch of Zenitizer! 🌟 Your clean and simple meditation timer is a remarkable tool for individuals seeking peace and mindfulness. As you strive for a seamless user experience, incorporating OTP-less authentication can enhance security and provide a frictionless login process. Best of luck in your mission to help users reach their daily meditation goals and nurture their well-being! πŸ™
Manuel Kehl
@parul_khetan thanks! Regarding authentication: There’s actually login or user accounts at all. I decided to keep it as simple, secure and private as possible so all meditation data is stored securely in Apple Health and everything works fully on-device 😊
